I’d say anything is possible right now. Guess I could just buy AMZN

You might as well wait until the big guns release earnings. If you are lucky, they might inspire some kind of confidence for a quick bump. If not, well, how low can nrgu really go

I only need to know 2 things about T. One, they’ve increased their dividend for 36 consecutive years and counting. Two, people have been having the same doubts about them for years, maybe the whole time. I have a lot of money in T and it doesn’t keep me up at night.

If they figure everything out and get an A+ balance sheet, the share price will be $50 and the yield will drop substantially. I kind of like them right where they’re at.

Very good point. I was thinking they may be back to $40 in a year or two, but I am super happy with every dip below $30/share right now.

That’s how I’m feeling about several dividend stocks. Just want the dividend to survive, I don’t need the share price to go up too fast yet.

Another for me is PFE, it’s been doing well lately and that’s not good. I want to add at $30 not $40!

Yea, I’ve been wanting to add to that, but this covid trial news and ex div coming up right after earnings, seems I’ll wait for something to cause a dip. $32 seems like yesterday

Wtf....why does the dividend return keep dropping...stupid share prices climbing :)

I sold anything to do with malls. If you're in Simon Property I want nothing to do with you.

I haven’t looked into it much beyond the headlines, but are they really taking another shotgun blast of stimulus payments again like last time? I thought it was going to be more focused. I mean, I’m happy for everyone getting their 1200, but I’m not sure it does the economy much good in the hands of those that dont really need it

Yes, plus reduced, but continued, unemployment benefits. Of course that's just the proposal, and will likely end up somewhere in the middle between it and what was passed in the house a couple months ago. But either way, it does appear that another round of $1200 checks will be included.

Damn I have been eyeing up some gold ETFs for a while now and they all popped 4%+ today. Looks like the fed is batting around negative interest rates (fawk!). I should have bought some a month or so ago.

I may jump back in the investing pool again, my wifes job is safe from round 1 of layoffs come october!

    Lol!!

Now that the threat of having to use investment money to pay the mortgage is gone, I'm ready to get this money back working again!

    Soo...
the House (Dems) have been hashing out a full out kill the economic recovery bill that includes removing liability protection from employers, continued $600 a week. This is 100% an attempt to halt any recovery. Schools not opening and further restrictions on employers that will create a windfall for lawsuits. Oddly one political party benefits dramatically from lobbying and donations from trial lawyers.
Republican senate wants to make it more profitable to work than be on unemployment. They will look like bad guys taking away the extra free money. It's already being billed as a 66% cut. So the senate wants to cut the extra $600 a week to $200 and structure unemployment benefits as 70% of your pay. They are not touching liability and want people returning to work. They are also trying to include a payroll tax cut. Now matter what the bill cannot be passed as it only helps us get back to normal
