Doh...TRD off-road, guess I was reading on another and wrote without paying attention...lol. Nonetheless, expensive truck.
Shveet my man, the recall is R95--so found explanation but, damn Toyota, really?
Customer Interim Notification-Please review the information below and in the attached document. No other immediate action is required by you at this time. The subject vehicles are equipped with a low-pressure fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This may result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted. If a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash.

i run a 2018 TRD OR, i never got a recall notice for software stuff.
I updated the radio software a year ago, no issues with it.

anyways, i'm at work atm so it's difficult to check that recall ID.
Tworld doesn't seem to have brought "R95" up but i believe that is the dealer ID (which should be the same as the recall number).

    upload_2020-7-27_14-24-42.jpg
can you search for a similar number that's highlighted?

Please contact any authorized Toyota dealership to make an appointment to have this LSC performed.

The involved vehicles are equipped with a Pre-Collision System (PCS) that may automatically apply the brakes if the system detects a potential collision. Due to the mounting of one of the system’s sensors, it is possible for water to enter the sensor. This can lead to PCS activation or inadvertent brake activation resulting in limited deceleration for a short duration of time.

    Looks like 2 issues then
Fuel pump issues and the radar issue which they might be stuck trying to resolve.

LSC L41 would be the Canadian Code.
you can also search the description of it. but fuel pump issues huh?

not sure but i got multiple hits for millimeter wave radar sensor.

Take it to a different dealer. If communication to a module is really down, typically there will be the check engine light or a few other caution lights on. Are your precollision system and adaptive cruise control working?

Yes, price and availability are the reason I got my 265/75-16 Duratracs, exactly 5 years ago. Nobody in the area had the Cooper pizza cutters in stock or can even quote me an ETA.

You know Canadian Tire carries Coopers right? When one of the Cooper CS5s on my Subaru was punctured near the shoulder, I got a replacement at my neighborhood CT. Took them a day to order it in.

    Crappy tire actually sells them...
    https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/tires/pdp/cooper-discoverer-s-t-maxx-tire-2084148p.2089062.html
About $290 a tire too, much less than the $450 of the M-55s

but is that still a decent deal? or am i still better off getting a set of 17s and cheaper rubber (because more common size) for a few bucks more?

For the LSC L41 they put a piece of foam behind the front sensor to stop water getting in, and update the software for the cruise control.

The Safety recall is for the low pressure fuel pump, they won't have replacement pumps in 'till around September (they are doing the Corrolas and Siennas first). Basically if the truck does not start on hot days. or if it stalls with a low fuel pressure fault then you need it done. It affects Tacomas Made from Nov /17 till the mid to late 2019's.

might as well set up a mall crawl to see you guys off. because no one will see those trucks after the trip

    my guess;
@Norilsk fate: exploded rack or at least leaking hard af
@Therby: will get out unscathed and will be towing Evegunennen through greens again
@tacoma16: frame snaps in half because of rust

Mall crawl should be after. I want to see the carnage! Perhaps there should be some sort of friendly rivalry to see who can push their trucks the furthest.

Camped a few nights in Ardbeg last weekend, freakin’ trail wouldn’t let me out unscathed.

    85A2B0FF-B362-491B-A095-101F449DF272.jpg

Leaving camp yesterday, less than 150 metres outbound, and I felt and heard that familiar ‘thunk’ of the trailer hitch hitting/scraping on rocks, followed by a weird little crunch sound that was new to me.

I guess it was about time to relocate that mo-fo anyways.
