And that's about what I should have done the first time around.

I need to swap out my junk dakars. I'm holding off on the ads until a certain kit comes out this fall

Two years. They were okay on stock weight, nothing in the bed and no bumper, but they don't cycle travel very well.

    Specific kit hmmmm? Elaborate.

Any yeah I feel you on the cycle aspect. I've got a logbook for my foxs over a couple years of messing with the dcs. It handles significantly better. But the two things holding me back at regular lift travel is the overall axle wrap and the leaf pack. But that's just to be expected and wasn't a shock to me.

Won't be an issue on round two haha

Are you doing a SUA or sticking with a SOA?

SOA. I'll trade the little bit of axle wrap for the extra flex.

I could use the extra flex almost every time I go out. But the axle wrap isn't really holding me back from anything.

Even though the SOA deavers will give you more flex, will they also be able to handle more weight like the dakars? I have the heavy set now. I really like them honestly and will be getting HH and crosstube soon....what were wrong with your dakars? Mediums?

I'm reducing the weight I travel with these days. The dakars just aren't progressive enough. When I swapped out to the HH I was shocked at how little feedback from the road it took to activate the rear suspension. But i can also feel how it cycles better. And after hearing all the glowing reviews of Deavers I've got a pretty good idea of what to expect.

I really feel it in Maine when we are doing about 70 on the 4"+ corrugated roads. Diving into the corners the front does exactly what it's supposed to do, but the rear gets to light the leafs just freeze up.

Which comes the third option of a custom leaf pack as well. I want a bigger shock both in stroke and Dia for the sake of reducing internal pressure.

Does anyone have a good photo of HH installed with stock springs that shows the shackle too? Or can someone tell me how far back and down the eye has been moved?

I'm trying to get a sense of what the shackle angle looks like after install.

Stock springs are going to look the same as Stock hangers. The design is only a .25" different than stock.

Got that much, thank you. I'm asking about shackle angles.

    (Also, MGM FTW.)

By the time Marlin releases that kit. I suspect half the 3rd gen crowd will jump ship to the Bronco.
