Hello there Tacoma World, I have been researching a bunch about Tacoma's this past month. I am very eager to get one but don't want to jump the gun. Haha I fell in love with the Toyota Pickups from the 80s, as well as the 1st generations.. but not looking for a potential project truck at the moment... Want something that is reliable, has a good track record and something without too many miles on it. I live in Houston, TX, and have had a tough time trying to find an extended cab V6.. everyone here drives a double cab and loves their big ass trucks.. woot woot. However, I really enjoy the full 6' truck bed of the extended cab.

All in all, during my time looking I have come to realize that these trucks come and go FAST. However, this one I am going to test drive tomorrow and a closer look at has been on the market for almost 3 months... Can't help but think something might be wrong with it.
Looked up 2009 Tacoma on car complaints and understand that it has had one of the most amounts of complaints, shortly behind the 16' and 17'. How much should I be paying attention to these complaints? What do y'all think of the 09'?

Here it is: running for just under $14,000 and has 107k on it.

I can tell that there are some paint issues on the roof, but other than that can't see much to go off of. Test drive tomorrow may reveal some more glaring issues, but please let me know what y'all think. Keen as heck to get a Tacoma and hit the trails.
If this one doesn't work out, may wait longer for a 4x4 to come up.
    Thanks in advance!

One plus is the door jamb says the truck is Made in USA.

If you like to offroad you'll find the limit pretty quickly with 2wd.

The perfect truck is worth waiting for. Have you expanded you search area? For used, sometimes you have to go out of state.

Where it's made has nothing to do with it.

That said....a good deal is often a state of mind. Go check it out. If you like it and can buy for a decent price...do it

I would personally rather have a truck made in America, personal preference. It wont be better but idc...

That truck is non-negotiable, so whether or not it's a good deal is in plain sight. Just compare it to others in the area.

Thanks y'all, damn speedy responses here. Kudos for that and your praises to wait.
I've been too eager to realize that patience may be key here. Also got to look at the buy/sell market on TW!
Going to go for the test drive and check it out. First-time test driving a 2nd gen Tacoma anyway so would still have some good value in doing so.
