We didnt get any pictures from last night, but my buddy got 2 northerns. First one cut his line right away because he was fishing for bass. We swapped on a leader and then cast out to the same spot. Pulled in a nice 20 inch northern... now my net smells terrible and has to live in the garage.

I got a few sun fish and a turtle :)

When he gets back from his trip up north we are going to go back with the kayaks and see what we can get.

No charter. Went on a friend's 46' seahunt, 48 hour trip, 150+ miles out deep drop. He has some reels that require a car battery to spool in the thousands of yards of line. I've never seen someone pay a few thousand to spool up a reel.

I just got a boat recently and started breaking out alot of thousand for maintenance  Should be on the water next week.

    Minor stuff.
No keepers for us. Still had a good time. My son saw a whale on the way back to the shore.

Went out tonight for a little fishing. Got 3 bass and a few blue gill. Only took picture of 2 of the bass as the 3rd one was really small.

Starting to figure out the bass patterns in my area, seems the absolute most important thing to pay attention to is the color of the water and finding water that is mixing. A buddy and I went out today and each caught 4 or 5 bass, these were the 5 keepers I took home for dinner. Turns out my live well makes a crappy ice chest, 20 lbs of ice melted quickly but did keep the fish cold long enough for me to get them home and cleaned.

Thanks for the concern, I have read the guidelines and depending on the area the louisiana DWLF recommends 4 or more (no recommended limit) meals of black bass species per month. The bayou I caught these from is pretty remote and very much unpolluted. This will actually be my first time eating LMB, I usually catch and release them but the bass I caught today looked really healthy.

Yeah Morgan city is a big stop on the atchafalaya River and the intracoastal waterway, lots of commercial boat activity. Today I was fishing Bayou Black about 25 miles east of Morgan city, much cleaner water.
