Rustoleum high heat paint on my stock SR exhaust system. I did this on my first gen cheapo Walker cat back replacement system (they rot out in about 25k miles) and its still in good shape after 65k. An ounce of prevention....

Also hit the bed bolts and D Rings (already had surface rust).
    20200727_112036.jpg
I've had it to the beach 3 times and there is already surface rust forming on untreated metal surfaces (several small mating surfaces on the driveshaft as well as LCA, UCA). The salt air is a killer. I have to get some Mavcoat ASAP and get to work. Only a couple thousand miles -- I should have made this top priority.

    No protection/prevention leads to this:

In this particular case Almost None. Wipe off loose debris with a rag, use a piece of cardboard to "mask" off areas I didn't want overspray, shoot it as good as you can laying in an uncomfortable position, let it dry, repeat on any missed spots. Albeit my prep work was BS cuz I only have 2000 miles and it is just an exhaust, but something is better than nothing when it comes to rust prevention. Best practice would be to pull the unit and prep/paint then reinstall replacing gaskets. I'm cheap and lazy and didn't feel like doing it that way, although it would have probably been better. When it does come time to replace, I'll do this the right way on whatever unit I purchase prior to installing. I hope that isn't going to be anytime in the next 10 years

quick question for some help if possible. Co worker just got a SR with the utility package and wants to buy my old TRD off road rims. They should work for him shouldn't they? Both 16 inch and 6 lug. I figured they would be ok but wanted to ask those who know more than I. Thanks for any help

Ok, so I've got this posted in some of the seat cover forums, but I'll post it up here to my SR brothers to see if anyone has any recommendations.

Has anyone had any experience with these?

    https://www.roughcountry.com/interi...=2020-toyota-tacoma-4wd-569058&sid=5kR2pkwUHs

They seem pretty legit (minus the stupid RC logo I wouldn't want) but at $110 the price is right for some good fitting neoprene covers.

    I also found these
    https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...FjAAegQIBBAC&usg=AOvVaw04M0ycRFNHvMRuRcMQTvvH
$115 is pretty good as well.

Obviously Clazzio seems to be the supreme cover, but I'm not looking for leather and I'm right around the $100 price point which doesn't get you much --- let alone custom fit. So I'm leaning toward these 2 options. Just need to figure out what to do with the jump seats since they get used often. Any experience with either of these that can be shared would be appreciated.

Both choices seem to be well reviewed. I don't know of any others in that price range. I think saddlemens and coverking have jump seat options but then you're looking at $150/row. Personally I'm planning on a complete reupholstering job in the future with Katzkin's so I'm not too concerned with covering the stock fabric. Make sure you go feel some neoprene at the store if you haven't sat in them before. Personally I prefer cloth to neoprene.
