Where did you get the tweeter adapter harness for the subie tweeters upgrade?
another member/ thread pointed me to autoharness.com, and it seems they have it but still requires a few crimps in order to connect to the Subaru tweeter, which I’m totally cool with. just curious if anyone else found a more direct plug and play solution or if the cut and spliced into the wires.

When I took mine out once I purposely leftbtheb4 screws out. Stereo is still secure w/o & makes easier to remove if need be. Doesn't rattle either!

 

well i figured it out.. took it all apart and found out the control board was not seated fully on the headunit... either way, a new and upgraded unit is on the way!!!!!

 

Cool clean look on the gauges. Where did you source? They mount to the steering column cover?

 

It's literally swapping two pins in the connector to get the Subaru tweeters to work correctly on a second gen. If you're careful about it, you can remove them from the truck side plug, swap them and pop them right back in like they came that way. IIRC, it's the two middle pins that need to be swapped.

 

Added Bilstein 5100 struts to the front with stock coils and toytec 2" aal in the rear. Don't make my mistake and double check your spring perch orientation or it will take forever to install and then remove, fix, and reinstall. Overall very happy with the look and ride.

I just got mine installed yesterday as well. Love the clean look of this thing.

 

Looks great! This is exactly what I want to do in the next few months. Keep us posted on how the ride is.

 

I would be worried about introducing extra combustible materials and trapping extra heat in the engine bay. I understand the point that if your coolant system is functioning properly, that it shouldn't be a problem. But it still makes me think it would make everything work harder and wear out faster. Just my 0.02.

 

Not only did you leave your license plate, you left your neighbors too. And I could pick you out of a line up from the reflection in the bedside decal picture. Good thing you blacked out the girlfriend though.

 

The Elkas are great. I did have to send one rear shock off for warranty repair. I think it was a faulty seal so I was leaking fluid. It was hard to tell but I was finding a light sheen of oil on one of the rear shocks. Really a great ride and I'm glad I jumped on them during the group buy.

I didn't use a harness, I just modified the stock harness per several of the how-to guides and the video @boogie3478 has on his Youtube channel.

I'm sure this isn't the first time you've been asked, but where did you get the controller itself and the piece that fits in the dash? MUCH cleaner than mine...looking to change.

EDIT: Found the controller. Still missing the taco specific dash plate. Thanks in advance

Does this brake controller have a manual engage or do you just crank it to 11 when you need to make the trailer dead weight?
