Apparently it’s 4 people out of BC who hand make all their 7005 anodized aluminum frames. Great warranties and the geo looked to fit the other bikes I had liked.

took off somewhat when their bikes were made available on Jenson.

I’ve always owned big brands just due to cost effectiveness, so pretty excited to give this one a shot

You sure the fork is 20x100?

X2 is a good shock, will serve you well.

GX is solid, replace with 12 speed down the road.

Guide R, not great, thats the first thing you are gonna want to replace. Recommend some XTs. the IceTechs are Shimano, strange its running shimano rotors with SRAM Brakes.....

I had an old Brand X dropper, didnt last long, keep an eye on that, but 170mm is nice long distance, especially for a tall guy like yourself.

Assagai/Aggressor is the best combo, that's that I run.

    Diety is nice.

All in all sounds like a great bike man! Excited for you.

That fork is non-boost, not a huge deal, but will limit your wheel selections. On the other hand you may find some sweet used wheels for a killer deal

I haven’t read it up close for the 20x100, but that’s is what he said. It’s a late 2016 model from the paperwork he sent. That’s the only thing that’s older than late 2018.

I’m getting the bike for actually below what my budget range was, so if it lasts me a year or two before I need a newer fork, that doesn’t hurt too much. I’m really only cash tight for 3ish more months.

Agreed on the brakes. I’m going to give them a run and see how I feel. They’ll be easy enough to swap myself.

he also offered a reverb dropper if I would prefer that. Both are 170mm

Yeah I think I’m going to roll with this build for 6-12 months and then decide what adjustments I want, selling parts and buying newer ones that fit my wants.

I've had REAL bad luck with reverbs, recommend sticking with the BrandX.

Yeah brakes are easy to swap, I can help if you need, have bleed kits and plenty of fluid (assuming you do choose to swap to shimano).

Yeah thats a great idea, that bike is very rideable (brakes aside) and is gonna be a blast. Just replace parts as they wear out.

Thanks man! Really looking forward to learning to tinker on the bike. I do all my truck work and love working with my hands (since my day job is desk bound), so this will be a fun hobby for me
