I do NOT recommend putting the amp in the middle like this. I did, and forgot my rear window was open the other day........

I actually disconnected my rear window switch. Granted, I have a shell on the back so I don’t have much need to open it, but I’ve seen too many boxes and amps get ruined because the window was cracked by accident and water got in

Yeah. I am music-less right now. Looking at ideas for a better amp mount solution.

I finally put it in to test this weekend, it fits snug before cld, ccf, and mlv so i had to make sure there was no overlapping and i had to use .75 lb mlv (for those interested) around his sub box and amp board. Any thicker and it won't fit the box and board i got. I didnt take a picture after putting in the mlv on the top, so excuse the unclean pic. I will have more tomorrow.

^above is Marvs boxes sitting snugly with .75 mlv to just above the rib on the back wall. I have 1lb mlv draped down to the .75 that I will be gluing together. After cleaning up wires and sealing seams on MLV I will attempt to stain (dye) the board and then cut the plastic back board and have it above the boxes to look clean.

I have not cleaned up the wires on the amp board yet either, I will have a build post soon. Hopefully this gives you a visual idea.

Did you use any brackets to hold it down on place? And if so which ones?

None, fits snug as a bug. I would ask Marv what he suggests. He doesn't half ass things, he has 100000 ideas and will happily share with those that care and want to know.

Have you talked to him yet? Give yourself some time to chat when you do call him, he definitely has the answer. I would personally suggest doing CLD and CCF on the back wall especially around these boxes. Use quality stuff and dont overlap. Lots of people here can help and I am more than happy to give advice. So far you have done your homework if you are asking about Marvs boxes :).

I'll post pics up in a bit. I stained my box black came out nice. My amp rack fits snug just not my sub box.

Did you use dye or a stain? Would love to see pics. Did you use polyurethane after stain/dying?
What sub did you go with?

That is the color of stain i hope to achieve too. So your sub box is not snug and is rattling and shaking?

No not at all just doesn't seem as snug as amp rack. Marv had said something about putting a bracket on it from home depot but wanted an idea of what kind of bracket to use. He had no pics unfortunately
