Thanks challenger. What do you mean by "hold the key to start?" Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless you're hearing a clunking or jumps in rpms or rattling or anything like that. You said you heard a pop when it happened?

What's the best way/place to find those parts? After market and from who? Thanks!

Yeah, I guess the immobilizer shuts of the spark plugs and the fuel pump. I think the Poof I heard may have just been one of the pistons finishing up its cycle without adequate fuel and spark, thus making the odd Poof sound. I only worried because we do a lot of road trips to very remote locations. I afraid it will happen again, when we are in the middle of nowhere.

Eh, well if you’re ever going out alone, make sure someone knows where you went and how long you should be gone! So they know when to start worrying;)

What I normally do is get the part numbers from dealership or just online research and then just start shopping in the internet

Is this documented somewhere? Have a link?

Not doubting it worked for you. Just curious about the source of this "fix" or work around.

I found it on here somewhere. Disconnecting the batt or waiting 20 mins works but doesn't turn off this function
