    yup. Been very slow going for a while. I gave up on it for a while and then I would talk to him, get a few updates... but life is busy and it’s 2 hrs away. I hurt knee/leg pretty bad back in March, just had 2nd surgery and got PT going now. The plan now is he said it would done end of summer so :notsure: figure if not done then I will have to take it back. January is 6 years! :eek:

    not sure how much is public knowledge but they did tell me they’re designing a bumpstop kit that notches the frame as well.
    I thought that as well when looking at the shackle hanger.

    Looking for thoughts on modifying these in a SUA u-bolt plates (first pic) to incorporate a shock mounting bolt (second pic) in order to fit the shocks under the bed and retain most of the travel still. Like how the stock SOA perches/plates had them built in.

    Whats on there now;
    IMG_5442.jpg

    Adding spacer plate with, or welding on something similar to this;
    [IMG]

    So that I can fit this, without doing axle tabs, keeping the shock closer to the leaf for more "protection"

    Damn man, that’s just way too long. Didn’t realize it but I’ve been in AZ for almost 5 years and you started that build long before I moved.

    Jesus dude. That's way to long.

    Should work. That's how stock rear shocks are mounted.

    for the record. the bypass mounts were easy but could have been a LOT easier if TC had their bolt holes drilled out properly to match the hardware they gave me. I know the shock mounts were tacked to check before welding on but if those could have been the actual width of the upper bypass mount, that would have been great as well.

    What a pain

    it seems to be the shoulder or collar (whatever the tech name is) on the bolt that has an issue. I was pretty frustrated at first then just got a 1/2" bit and drilled it out.

    Also ive noticed on both the bypass and the coilover the lower mount width is NOT right nor consistent and had to grind down my misalignment spacers on both to fit the damn shock.

    Coilover towers are drawn, need to get them cut out on my table. Then can start wrapping things up!

    Honestly to be fair, the first year was expected due to Jordan’s black 2nd gen needing time be completed first and taking longer. So I guess it’s a 4.5-5 year build in reality:facepalm:

    Anyone know of any companies making bedside support brackets for high clearance bumpers? I know Pelfreybilt used to make them and that what I have on my stock fenders, but looking to get another set for my neighbors truck since we did a high clearance on that.

    Thanks

    Which rear shocks would you guys reccomend for medium travel in the rear? I'm running 5160s with dakars, already have extended brake lines, but I'm running out of down travel on those shocks on the beach
