Weekend of Sept 12/13 could work!

I would make the trip on the bike, probably all day ride or maybe even over 2 days. Cruise down 29? It could be fun. My sister lives in Charlotte and it's got a great motorcycle culture, believe it or not. Most of it is #chopcult though. Last time I was there I got to visit Prism Supply.

I def want to ride Dragon, Blue Ridge, and Skyline at some point in my life. My coworker makes that trip every year.

We're spending money up in this bitch - buying houses, bikes :spending:

I rode the Dragon on my FZ09. Didnt go crazy, but I rode it. I have not done Skyline or Blue Ridge. It always seems to be crazy busy when I go. So maybe with the new schedule, Ill go on Monday when everyone is at work

I'm positive I want something small displacement, yes. It's the fun of a grom but in a larger frame.

200 is toy power, fun to redline every gear, in my book, it'd be an around town bike. I have the CB and F800GS if I ever want anything bigger. Also just looked and the 62 is quite literally double the expected price.

Plus just looooook at that ripper. i've always had soft spots for all the Dukes. :bikewheelie2:

I don't see the point in a bike that's between the grom and a 600 for the street. But thats just me.

    I like the 1290.

Heard that I imagine those roads get packed on weekends. I would take off work so I'd have enough time to get down there and spend a few days riding.

I'd love something that can go 65-70 without vibrating my balls to death. There's a town about 7 or 8 miles of 55mph highway away I go to frequently. I guess it kind of goes along with it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. Grom is too slow (mostly) to make that journey. Kind of that bizarre sweet spot. I feel like the 200 you'd still be able to rip through the gears from a stop. But like a high revving 600 going through towns, you'd never get out of first or second gear. To me it's boring and stressful just listening to the one gear rev and rev and rev.

All that being said, if I ever had a chance at a good deal on a used 390 Duke I'd jump on that too...

Dream bike is a 1290 Super Adventure R, close second being a 1290 super duke.

I guess thats why I like the FZ09 and the Scrambler. They're not a grom, but also not a liter bike like my Triumph Speed Triple. 800 is a happy medium for me. Plus they are lightweight- ~400lbs stock.

Maybe its why I enjoy riding in the city sometimes. And why my neighbor with the ZRX1100 and @LocoLocal does not. I also like dodging traffic and blipping the throttle to make people aware of me

Went over all the fairings and gas tank with a polishing compound, then followed up with a carnauba wax. It turned out great!

The Super Duke 1290 is an amazing machine. I have 22,000 on this bike and no issues! Saves you money on front tire replacements too! Haha
