What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I'd like to see yellow offered as an option, but more of a "Chevy Yellow" (has some red in it).

 

I'm not sure how I feel about yellow on Tacoma. But if money was no object, I'd sure as hell hop onboard with a yellow C5 Corvette convertible. I used to work at a Chevy dealership when I was in college and I loved getting in a Corvette whenever possible.

I put my new Tyger T5 hard tonneau cover on





The ONLY bit I don't like is that the rear most anchor in the rails needs to be all the way back for the tonneau clamp down to seat properly. I can't fit the endcaps back in. I MIGHT be able to scooch the cover forward maybe half an inch to resolve that, but it's hot AF outside right now. I'll circle back to that. I might also need to put down a bit of the weatherstripping under the forward 1/3 on the sides. There's a bit of a gap. (Personally, I don't really expect a tonneau cover to be completely weather/dust tight)

I saw a custom yellow Tacoma the other day but didn't have my camera ready to snap a picture. Next time I see it around town I'll have to snap a picture

 

I am REALLY glad I got them done. I think they look great.

Love the embroidery, just installed mine yesterday as well. Where did you get those headrest grab handles?

 

Got rid of a lil chrome today, I went with OEM's. A subtle change in appearance, but I love it.

Out with the chrome, and in with the black...

 

I use Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic as well and then the 3n1 detailer spray after every wash, still blows me away how great it looks with this process. Great product.

 

Those look so good it might make sense for someone buying a new truck to save some money and go with cloth and then put those on later. I have factory leather in my truck but it doesn't have that great looking accent stitching. Granted, I'm seriously considering buying a pro next time but that is a great alternative.

I'll second that. I know a thousand kids who would love that thing. I got many a day "slingin leg" on a wagon, and a scar, or two from it. Lol

Check out Katzkins. Better leather choice than stock leather in my opinion.

 

Hey Bud thanks for the info and glad you're happy with the way it rides. I'll probably go this route with a 3 leaf aal in the rear. Looks like a good option without breaking the bank.

 

Added a tailgate seal. Really worked well and will keep dust out on our backcountry travels.

Also bringing it for it's first oil change tomorrow.
