What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

The guys at Clazzio are awesome. After I had my covers on the first year they offered free embroidery on my headrests. Couldn't turn that down.

 

For those of you that haven't seen @jhuey8947 's thread. 3rd gen pics start around page 25. I think pricing has increased slightly since this post was last edited.

 

The OCD in me was compelled to make my OEM tailgate lock as great as it should have been if it had been manufactured correctly. Fits perfectly on the mounting tab now, as if it were actually OEM. And tailgate removal is as close as possible to before without replacing the factory 4 pin connector with a 6 pin.

 

Well maybe ill go with Napa Leather Clazzios then and have thr headrests embroidered

After doing the CMC and pinch welds last weekend. i was finally able to get 285/65/16 Duratracs put on today. $200 rebate if you use a Goodyear credit card.

I know you're kidding, but just yesterday... I nearly got hit by some gray-bearded, 70-ish year old guy with a cool (?) Indiana Jones fedora, in an SUV parked at the curb in a no-parking zone. As I slowly passed him, he decided to pull away from the curb.

Was he looking over his shoulder while pulling out? No. Was he looking in his rear view mirror while pulling out? No. He was holding up and looking at his f**king phone.

Seriously, if one is this clueless and I would have gotten hit, can it really be called an accident? ... or is it negligence?

 

I got my Katzkins with the TRD logo in the seat back not the headrest. I didn't want to follow the crowd. They are pricey but worth it.

 

Some old farts never learn. Or do they just forget?

 

Very clean looking truck. The white accents on the racks are a nice touch.

Im a big fan of the Cali Raised just because of the lack of wind noise. I can have a light bar and not listen to it whistle down the road. The rack is quality built and looks great...but their shipping sucks. They will create a label so you get a shipped notice than wait a month to ship it with no explanation. Still worth it though.

 

Finished up my gun rack, big sky with some custom plate/brackets to bolt to grab handle location. Used rivet nuts in the oem square hole.

 

Granted MPGs are not super important with Tacomas but 2 MPGs assuming you were getting around 19 or 20 MPGs is 10%! Anyone else have that big of a hit? My Prinsu is coming in the next couple of weeks and it won’t change my mind but wow, didn’t expect that.
