Story of my small engine repair life. :pout: I love air cooled motors in the 1 and 2 cyl variety and the rapid decline of quality across damn near all manufacturers has forever left a sour taste in my mouth.

It's my ultimate dream to have a foundry and cnc machine in my garage so I can manufacture my own small engines. No real reason for it other than I wanna live off grid and be so self sufficient that I can machine my own replacement parts on my own manufactured equipment

My Walboro fuel pump whines like a stuck pig when it gets hot. Has for the few years I've had it installed, according to them it's a normal characteristic. Whereas for any other fuel pump it would be a sign of imminent failure lol

Can hear it in the cab over the sound of the truck at highway speeds in the summer

Oh the whining is normal, I knew that much.

I'd just hate to have one fail after upgrading to a Walbro as I've used them in several other cars before.

The whining is cool because Racecar

Oh yeah I know. I don’t think it’s ever been touched and the truck has 426k miles so prolly really needs it.

Technically I’m just looking for an excuses to spend $$$$ on my truck
