Oh right. I forgot. I’m supposed to drive as toyota intended lol

honestly though, if it wasn’t for OVT and the ADM, I probably would have given up on the third gen and just drive my tundra.

    That's right, you know.

I'd still be suffering and starting to wonder about my decision making ability.

For the first 20k I had my truck I seriously questioned if I was retarded and had totally forgotten how to operate a manual trans and was too dumb to figure it out again.

I get 15-16 in mine. I don't know how you all get such good numbers. Does Ovtune make a big difference in the mileage?

    Good fuel

    plus a little luck lol

I also seem to get better fuel economy if I keep the revs up. As backwards as that feels. 2500 ish really seems to be a sweet spot on this truck.

Hrm. I am on stock tires and stock anything that impacts mpg so far. I use top tier gas, 90% of the time. I do not drive slow at all though, unless my dogs are in the truck. I will have to play with the rpms I guess. I tend to stay in lower gears in this than I would in other MTs. Seen the 2500 number floating around and trying to work with that. Guess I have to try harder :D

Similar to @Shellshock . OVT will get you about 2mpg more at best?

I want it, and I will get it. Just cannot right now. This pandemic basically fucked up my whole year.

    Fuck 2020 in both holes?

Note though. OVT accepts PayPal. 6mo free financing. That's how I did it.

I also skip gears alot in my truck, sometimes from 3rd to 5th, or 4th to 6th and on occasion from 3rd to 6th.

So, coming from 2013 pkg 2 Prius (not super special) to 2016 Tacoma MT, the one and only thing I actually miss a little bit is having the fob in my pocket and opening drivers door when I’m carrying {groceries, child, case of beer, random interior pieces for future mods}.

Question, is the fob an option for more recent MT’s like 2017+?

Any retrofit fob options or SOL?

This is for sure something I can live without.

Not having push button start and the hand free door locks on the manual is stupid and still irritates me. Especially considering they do it on the 86 and others..
