They were ugly. These are the Level 8 MK 6 wheels. There was a huge 8 in the hubs, and I hated it.

There's a powder coat place on Simon St. Rapid Finishing. I've had work done by them.

That is a nice car and practically new . I owned a Volvo 240 DL with 245 K on it with new brakes , wire harness, water pump and fan clutch, that ran excellent. No fluid leaks . A tank kn the snow and did the top speed on the speedometer ( not often though). Needed a new tailgate, some trim and a paint job. I regretfully gave it away in favor of a Chevy Lumina . Total POS . I have been looking for another for years. Great for backup vehicle and I can get my surf rods in no prob

Nice! We have plans for this car. The boy is going to NCC after high school for their auto mechanics program - so it should be really fun to watch it evolve.

So I've decided to completely rip shit up in the interior while waiting to get my amps back. Going to fix all my wiring sins, starting off by moving the crossovers to under to under passenger front seat. Had a piece is ABS left over from another project:

    IMG_20200729_143814.jpg

I carpeted it and mounted the crossovers to it by tapping the holes to M4 size and used screws left over from an RC car project

    IMG_20200729_150848.jpg

Because the crossovers are light(ish), the mount will just be Velcro-ed on

    More to follow

Yikes. So hhe sub is going to be behind the driver side. I've got a MOLLE panel coming in to center between the sub and amp to make up for lost storage (IFAK, Emergency Clothing and Rain Gear).

Don't carpet a sub box after day drinking in the sun...

    So, audio update 2,000:

I am going with a JL 12TW3-D8. I'm going with the D8 because the amp I am using (if it ever gets back to me) is the AudioControl LC-6.1200 - which is not 2 ohm stable on channel 5/6 when bridged. That said, when the D8 is wired in parallel, it has a 4 ohm load, which is my target:

    12tw3-d.jpg

Mr. Marv is building me a new box as well.

Well, the Audison has been sold, Mr. Marv is building a new box, and I can't seem to find the sub it's being built for locally. Sigh. Not like it matters, my amp isn't back from AudioControl, and the Arc Audio is now in the swedish brick
