Man ive always been leaning towards that in the rear. I emailed rj fab awhile back and they were about as much as id thought they’d be. Probably worth it but thats why the Simmons option was very appealing to me. But hard to tell how good it is no one really has it only 2 or 3 trucks. It looks like it also went from a one piece to a modular system which usually rust worse at the connections. but I understand why they did it.
I was thinking the same. You have dmz right?

Yeah I’m running dmz. Until some reviews of the dirt king kit are done it’s the best, most tried and true spring under LT kit available

I'm keeping an eye on that set up for my other truck, but if you closely watch the few action videos he's got of the kit there's no way in hell they are getting that much travel. Maybe the trucks in the videos aren't the fully decked out version, but they are no where near 19“ of travel. Saying 16" looks generous too.

Agreed it doesn’t seem like the trucks that have it are getting those real 19”+.
Not to many videos of the kits in action yet either.
This kinda heavy 3rd gen too a decent jump though

I’d like for it to be a good system that could get the numbers they claim and keep a stock bed !

Nice. Why did you choose single over dual tri? 16’s going in?

I did a dual on racetruck and fought issues with the link crossmember. The beginning idea was keep this as simple as possible and get it done quickly. Then somehow morphed into me building my own frame rails, and teaching myself to TIG weld hahhaa. 1 year in just about now. Need more free time.

Gotcha, I can relate on the crossmember, the one I built for my Atlas was a BITCH, tiny bit of warping screwed everything up quite a few times. I dig the frame rails, seems like a better solution than cutting and boxing, you can get the clearances you need and not worry about sacrificing strength.

Did you just choose 14s or was there a limitation working around longer shocks?

Just wanted to re-iterate this post as I agree and add that all of the cantilever kits I've seen that actually get used crack and break. You can build a kit that would hold up, but from the pics I can see posted here, that kit is not it. I have nothing against Simmon's and dont want to talk badly, this is just my opinion

Either way, links will be better every time, every where (except with maintenance). If you want to stay under the bed @Evenflow 's setup is pretty cool

14's being the longest shock you can run in the 4500 class of Ultra4 (you know, just in case later I decide to escalate things).

But I also have so much uptravel now with this new frame that the coilover towers are literally massive. 16's would be another 2 inches of compressed length.

I have a question for you guys who know way more about Lt than I currently do. I am getting JD fabs new front kit with the 934 axles, which is supposed to do around 13" of travel in the front. I currently run a 63 swap in the rear with 16" IBP kings through the bed that I built a custom bed cage for. Realistically I'm only getting around 12-14" of travel in the back which im pretty disappointed by. I'm around 4.5" of up travel with the rest as down travel. It rides great and flexes great, but I feel like I'm leaving a lot of travel and performance on the table. Any ideas how to get more up travel out of these leaves, or is there a Sua leaf spring that would fit the 63 swapped hangers? Obviously the leaves are wider than standard Tacoma ones.

Really appreciate any help! I would love to get the full 16"+ in the rear to match up better with the JD fab kit that's going to go on.

That makes sense. Thanks for the info, you have given me some things to think about, headed in the same direction but want to do a tank underneath and dual tri.

Anything is possible if you are creative enough. Just might not get as much travel out of a 1st gen due to them being physically smaller.
