My total closing costs counting the VA funding fee was about 11K. Which I'm none too happy about. I might have been better off with just a traditional loan. I plan on being in this house for at least 10 more years. The 30K I'm cashing out is 100% going back into the house for items I would most likely have to replace over that 10-15 years. Roof, HVAC etc.
I'm at 11K in closing but cashing out 30K and saving approx. $100/month.
It's a 20 year fixed and If I stay here till term I'll take 2 years off at the end as I have 22 years to pay now.
So by the numbers. If I'm here 20 years. 30K in cash 100/month and 24 months less in payments = about $87,000 in savings - the 11K in closing.
10 years 30K in cash and 100/month in savings =$42,000 in savings minus the 11K in closing costs.
But I may have less cash in hand than I would have now when time to sell vs my current loan. Hard to say 10 years down the road.

NRGU and FUN are my short timers. FUN might end up being a longer hold. I really just want NRGU to go up, average down yesterday - hoping to see 5.xx a share sometime soon

If FUN pops off I might bail or hold it, we'll see. Otherwise I'm basically just exposed through VTI and the likes in my boring account.

I have the $6 18Sep20 calls for $1.20. They are moving +/- $0.10 but I'm thinking guidance on overwhelming Bronco sales might give it a $0.50 pop.

Initial reaction to them securing a good business, and then everyone flocks, so that drives it up, which drives it up even more, etc. And then people realize "oh wait...."

@Mbernal55 it looks like its dropping back down now. up to you - take the profits and be happy even if it goes higher, or hold on for more.

 

Yes, but prob some insiders making out like bandits (illegal!!). Just don't see how some people can speak so positively about this loan to Kodak. That money is going to evaporate because it's a poorly run company. What happen to survival of the the fittest?

 

Nothing to do with valuation. This is clever traders running with the news, getting novice traders to jump on in hopes of getting rich quick, and then those who started it take their profits. Happens all the time these days. GNUS early June, UONE Mid June. Many more examples. They crash and usually settle out a little below where the masses jumped in, and they sit there hoping it will go back up and they can just get their money out.

 

First Kodak cried wolf about going into the "blockchain" territory, and now this? What is Kodak going to do next?

 

Nothing clever. Just fraudulent activity. Trump picking Kodak. What is the true calculus behind this? You better believe politics is behind it.

 

NNOMF. Small battery company out of Canada I have been investing in for a while now. They have the patent to produce a lithium battery without cobalt, which is harder to mine for than lithium. Still pretty low volume, but its been making some moves lately.
