    Well here ya go...

Work from Barbados? Caribbean island offers remote workers deal

Many across the country are working remotely for the foreseeable future thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

But do you have to work from your house when you’re working from home?

Barbados officials say no and they have a deal for those who want to work very remotely - come to the islands.

The Barbados government is accepting applications for a new year-long program called the Barbados Welcome Stamp visa, CBC reported.

It will allow visitors to stay in the country for a year to work remotely.

That means no more fake beach Zoom backgrounds. You could work from the real thing.

If that sounds like something you would want to try, you have to submit documents like a copy of your birth certificate and passport along with the cost of the visa - $2000 for one person or $3,000 for what’s called the “family bundle,” according to Unilad.

You also have to make at least $50,000 a year, CBC reported. You also must have health insurance, the BBC reported.

To go along with the views of paradise and the warm sea breeze, people working remotely on Barbados don’t have to pay the country’s income tax.

Officials said if you come from an area that is at high-risk of coronavirus, then they suggest getting a test for the virus 72 hours before leaving for the island. Click here to read the travel restrictions and suggestions from Barbados Tourism.

Click here to fill out an application.

It will be like Chernobyl also in that if it happens we will not hear anything about it until evidence of the disaster is everywhere and they have to admit it.

And then they will say that some U.S.A. made part failed and caused the whole thing.

Jokes on us - they made the whole thing. Chinese concrete and Chinese steel.

I think the physics are against it. I was watching episodes of Modern Marvels on this thing 10 years ago and expert engineers kept going on about how "Chinese engineers really need to get these calculations right because the weight of that much water would make any other dam in the world fail."

    No shit.

It would also make for one hell of a "yo mama" joke.

YO MAMA SO FAT SHE WENT SWIMMING IN THE YANGTZE AND BROKE THE WORLD'S LARGEST DAM!

I'm no engineer, but I have built some pretty massive shit in my career, and in my opinion....why the fuck would you build a dam that is straight? I mean look at the Hoover Dam compared to their dam. It's curved for a reason, the more pressure on it the stronger it gets. Plus, can they pick a wider section of the river to try and span?
This is just a poor design IMO.

    Now the Hoover Dam.

I mean, I get that they hate us....and I'm ok with that, but its not like thats a design that is proprietary. If it works then why not use it, especially for something of that magnitude. Makes no sense.

I don't have a good feeling about that dam. They had experts from the west look at it when it was being built, and were told it didn't have enough steel reinforcement. They brushed it off as racist. That thing is bending under the weight of the mighty Yangtze. If it breaks it would be an unprecedented disaster.

The iron is good. I think they hurry the process when adding carbon. Gotta do things the Pennsylvania or Solingen way - that is some strong shit.

But hey! They got tax breaks for using the Boron!

What's not to like? Well, other than imminent failure of a structural component.

But hey! They got tax breaks!
