And this is why we all need kill switches. Ideally like in Mad Max but a simple SPST switch in the +12V for the fuel pump somewhere under the dash will do. Reminds me to do mine already. I always pull the fuel pump relay when I leave my truck somewhere I’m not sure about.

I have a tracker on my truck, with remote disable. If my truck got stolen they'd be in for quite the surprise

It's not lo-jack. I honestly don't know what it is. It's more designed for fleet vehicles, mileage tracking, etc. It was like $2 a month added to my loan, and $60~ a year. I have an app that shows me on an overlay of Google maps where it is every 15~ seconds. Luckily I haven't had to test it, but yeah, I'd make a post here to see who was interested in doing a surprise recovery

Thats legit, all vehicles need this, should be standard. Probably would reduce crime and put more criminals in jail.

Need more info on this. This type of live monitoring generally requires a cell or sat plan that cost much more than $2 a month.

Car thieves aren't going to jail right now. In fact some King County Prosecutors are suggesting a lot of car thieves arrested during covid have their charges dismissed.

I honestly don't know how it's wired. I had 2 years included and then it's $250 every 2 years to get the best deal. Saves me more than that on my insurance

I don't remember the exact amount added to my payment, but it wasn't much, at $250 every 2 years for renewal that breaks down to $10.41 a month
