Same. GMRS should be more than adequate. I know you take the HAM course online now, but i probably wouldn't do it before then. My daughter has been asking to go camping/ wheeling. This could be a good chance to take her before school starts.

Yup, there's a solid possibility of starting down something and having to turn back. I've scouted most of the northern (Day 01) piece and I think I've identified some potential camping areas for two nights, but a lot of the route south of Sugarbush is still just laid out on the map and I haven't driven it personally, or if I have, not recently with a mind toward putting this trip together, and we'll probably spend a bit of time Thursday trying to find a place to camp. I've got a couple of spots identified on the map, but haven't seen them with my own eyes.

PS - I am not just stock, I am like, shockingly stock :) I have sliders, but that's about it. Up to you - if you think it'll be annoying and slowing y'all down, let me know I can ditch for now and join on the real deal trip.

Is anyone familiar with the roads near Glen/Conway NH? My family has been going up there for a few years and in a few weeks it will be the first trip with the Tacoma. I've found a few class VI roads on the map but wasn't sure if they were open for public use and/or ok for a stock OR. When I click the description it says owned by the Fed. Gov. I don't want to openly name the roads here but I'd be happy to PM someone the names.

From what I know of the areas I have, or will have scoped out by then, it should all be suitable for a stock truck, and that's my ultimate goal anyway. So if we do have to make a reroute off of what I've mapped out, it'll be a permanent (at least to my route) change, and having a stock truck or two along will help with that.

I should still be good for that timeframe at this point in time and don’t plan on bailing. I don’t have telecom such as CB but can look into it before the trip or see if any of my buddies has a setup I can borrow/wire up.

There's a water crossing I'd love to see you or @tacobell007 do. It's one hell of a bank to get out

If it's on a gazateer it's likely fine to transit. Just can't leave the road as anything outside of the road ROW is private. A lot of property owners will put up signs indicating no trespassing/ driving etc.. However unless the road been decommissioned they are still legal to traverse. Only way to know for sure is to check with the towns road agent though. As far as if it's passable by a stock OR, no map will tell you that (well maybe the ENH mapping NH map...) Only way to tell is to start down it.

Rob @mach1man001 , remember the time at the now defunct All-Wheels park you submerged your taco and had to replace the interior of your truck....

It's about time you repeated that obviously.
