I still feel awkward drinking beer at 8am, but working nights that's my evening. My neighbors all must think I'm an alcoholic sitting on the back porch that early drinking.

I worked nights for 5 years. 5pm to 5am. Although I quit drinking roughly 6yrs ago. I know exactly what your talking about

 

If 8am is your 5pm then who cares?

 

Hope everybody's day went better than mine! I posted a while back that I was thinking about getting a new riding mower. Finally decided to just hold off. Well that was until today when I decided to "destroy" old faithful. I musta went at a different angle in a spot and bottomed out, it was ok first time around. What does my dumbass do? Yea, hit the same spot again! This time it wasn't good. Initially thought I just bent the blade, but the spindle and where it mounts to on the deck is fubar. Crap. No sense in putting more money and effort into it so I went to Tractor Supply up the street. $2,000 later this came home with me:



I literally drove it home T-S was just one street over so I figured what the heck. They had a couple different ones, mostly single cylinder Briggs. For an extra couple hundred this one has a 22HP Kohler twin cylinder, hydrostatic transmission, and a 46" deck. Going to take some used to as I was using a single blade 30"; yea I definitely screwed up my yard in some spots. But I am glad I went for the better motor! All my "fun money" is gone, but it is what it is... RIP 14 year old Craftsman rear engine rider. Gonna probably give it to a friend that might use the engine and scrap the rest.

We used to stop for a drink after working 3rd shift. I never considered alcohol to be time sensitive.

 

Hey all - Is there a market for used struts and shocks? This past weekend I had a friend come over and we put the the 3-leaf Icon rear lift and some 5160 shocks on the the back. Only took a couple hours, but a parts issue kept us from getting the fronts done (I only ordered one strut). Next weekend I'll be putting the 5100's on the front to match. The truck has 20k on it, would anyone pay for the old ones or do I just trash them?
