I wonder if that grommet in the center/rear hump is on 3rd Gens. That would be a decent place to run some exterior wires into the cab. Like an antenna wire.

But in all seriousness, I would be a lot more comfortable doing these shenanigans with a 3/4 ton diesel which I plan on upgrading to in a few years.

 

Remind me what sound deadening you are using? I have a box of dynamat extreme and was thinking of putting that plus closed cell foam (Noico red 150 mil?) on the doors maybe dynamat extreme (or noico equivalent) and MLV on the back wall and floors?

I swear most of my noise is coming from the back wall?
