Were you actually riding on their property without permission? If so, I don't blame them for being upset but setting spikes out is dangerous liability.

Bout the same. Popcorn ceilings, carpet, lvp flooring, get the whole backyard cleared of the overgrown brush, build a fence, get foundation piering, radon, remove the deck/build another, redo the handrail, and a bunch of grading, paint the whole interior pretty much
Agreed. Get a 500 unless you want to do quite a bit of highway. The 500 would be way more fun on/off road

I wish I had a picture, it was a metal plate with an arrowhead welded to it. Bunch of them buried in the brush you'd never see them.

Yeah we shouldn't have been there so I get it.

Nowadays I'm all legit, no shenanigans :)

I’ve been looking for some heated gloves/socks for riding in late fall/early spring.
I was thinking I might find some deals on them now because it’s the middle of summer.

    Any recommendations?

No heated socks here but heated gloves and jacket liner.

Gloves are an old pair of Gerbings, the very first heated gear I ever bought. Mine are about 23-24 years old at this point and still going strong. About 6 years ago I added a Warm & Safe heated jacket liner with a wireless dual controller giving me the ability to adjust temp on the jacket liner and the gloves separately. One of the best investments I ever made for riding year round. Warm & Safe is a great company to deal with IMO and often offers a discount code at least on the FJR forums. Lots of the Iron Butt crowd running this brand. There is a guy, Ken Phenix (sp) who I'm friends with on FB yet have never met IRL who I gather bought up a lot of the old Widder branded product and has been upgrading it and putting it out for sale. Steer clear of the low dollar stuff from places like Cycle Gear. It works okay but higher current draw for a lower heat output and longevity is a crap shoot.

Yep. No warbird shit for me.
I want a Step Up! I should've just ordered one from the get-go. I first bought a Corbin solo seat which looked great but wasn't very comfortable. Now I have a Mustang seat with an old school chopper look that is comfortable but I am not really digging the lines. I will probably order a Step Up this fall because with the current seat being comfortable enough, I am not in a huge rush to change it. Good news is I only spent $75 on the Corbin and $100 on the Mustang, so I am not out too bad. Hopefully I can re-sell them.

Yeh that's a type of warbird. Not talking about that though. I don't know how I wouldn't get banned if I posted what we are referencing.

Did some work on the F800GS yesterday and noticed my headlight reflector was burnt (common problem on them, sadly) and decided today during a boring Zoom call this morning to buy a fleabay projector headlight replacement :spending:

    Stoked.
