Jair saw no blower man must be tired. At least regraded? I regraded to 4.56 before but should have gone 4.88

I can't leave anything well enough alone
I have 4.56 gears dual arb lockers, and 35x10.5 Kendas. even without blower it goes pretty well, I must say. Not good gas mileage, but no real problems to speak of. I'm not breaking any speed records, that's for sure, but the blower purpose for me is not to go faster, it is just to restore some lost power due to weight, and to get the higher elevation power back (no more 4th or 3rd gear long grades) and be able to pass easier on the 2 lane roads.

Just got done with front suspension mods, have some rear refreshing to do (and maybe new springs) then I will focus on the blower install. have 2.8 and 2.5 pulley on the shelf. will use HP tuner, 160 thermostat, csf, roush, custom intake, long tube with custom exhaust (that is if I don't talk my self into a roost Y). Need to sort out the trans as well, just like you I have a ratiotek HD kit sitting. already have a much larger trans cooler.

Sounds like your in the same boat. My ratio kit is there plus pump. I was holding off the roost but I’m on the list. I would just get on the list as it’s a long list.

Those Kenda’s and 4.56 is prob your saving grace 285/70/17 with my 4.56 also dual locked but e lockers. with 285’s and 4.56 no blower I loved the feel of the truck.

I was considering kendas next and try the skinny 35. They are 20lbs or so lighter. My KM3’s are Heeeeeeeavy. I felt a big difference when I went to these. truck feels more stock or a bit faster but it’s no speed Daemon. tuning helps big time with responsiveness. I had OV time before and now HP @JustDSM magic. it’s a never ending process. now just getting some feels then back to the tune drawing board.

Last week I got my custom Stainless exhaust Recustomized. Big things a coming.....in the rather near future I’m going all in. I’ll probably do this in 3 sessions. I’ll start with regearing to 4.30, Swapping to a stage ll clutch (URD or spec) not sure which one just yet. (Thoughts???) and archive’s hammer hangers. 2nd session will be swapping in my URD long tubes, cam gears and spark plugs Since I’ll be all up in it, and blower oil swap. 3rd session very soon after will be hooking up with @JustDSM and convert over to hptuners. .......should be a whole new truck so to speak huh.

I was looking for a clutch for my F80 and spec was kinda a horrid experience trying to get a hold of. At least URD sometimes answers the phone

So I just want to note and kinda confirm some Of @12TRDTacoma ’s findings. I don’t know if it was those new spark plugs (Ruthemxjlcgisnxjjisiams) or the ripp coils, but my mpg on my trip has been through the roof. I avg’d 17.5 up to barstow, and 18.2 the rest of the way to Az. (Last year I got 16.4 to barstow and 15.3 to Az).
    Wowzors

I went with clutchmasters but it does seem as Spec makes a solid product so can’t blame you

Do you have any pictures of the trimmed coil pack? (Or could take one if it's not too much trouble) Does it compromise the boot in anyway you would notice? Lastly, does it sit as snugly as the OE coil pack would? I'm just worried that crud would get in there. I run hood vents like several of you do year-round and my bay sees plenty of crap.

13.6?? I used my multimiter and I thought all voltage off the interior fuse box was 12. But my multimiter is a cheap analog, so it looks like it's AROUND 12v. I just used an add-a-fuse to the trailer brake light if I recall, figured it would never be used and was on with ignition.
    Would you recommend something else?

Keep in mind our "12V" electrical systems provide more than 12V when the engine is running (i.e., alternator is charging), especially if you run an AGM battery and appropriate voltage booster.

I can't vouch for the 13.6V threshhold, but my gauge behaves similarly on startup. (I assumed it was some sort of "warmup" cycle.)

    Your setup should be fine.

I don't. It's pretty straight forward. Take a razor blade and slice off at the necessary length. Dude it fits way too snug. Like, it may be a problem pulling them off later snug. If the boot was compromised I would have a misfire. Which I do not.

    That's it.
