Got the Frontrunner doors sealed today, hopefully this takes care of the water leaks!

Also installed blocking diodes into my solar setup to prevent one solar panel from drawing current from the other one when its in shade.

And lastly upgraded my main battery to charge controller breaker as the cheap chinese one kept tripping even when current draw was less than the rating.

Wish the fairing went up to the height of the Drifter.

Is Sherpa a knock off Prinsu? Both seem exactly the same.

Look at Todd’s setup, he has a Sherpa rack (prototype). I think his IG is @soloartist

how do you guys route power from solar down into the bed? looking for suggestions. I was thinking of drilling a hole at the edge of the platform on the section right above the wiring channels and pulling the wire directly down into the wiring bay at the front corner of the bed.

You have to drill the roof (outside of the actual living space) and then you can run the wires through the hole in front corner of the tent

I got that part already, but just trying to think of a way to get the wire down into the truck bed area without wires dangling everywhere.

If it wasn’t prewired, yes, run it along the side of the mattress until just past the overhang and then drill a hole down to drop the cables into the channel. That’s how I would do it anyway.

Or just remove the ACM panel on the bed area and route your wires underneath... although I'm not positive what it looks like under there, as mine was pre-wired.

Let me check tomorrow and get back to you. I forgot what the camper wiring looks like for solar in my truck (not done by Vagabond but very clean).

Does anyone know of anyone or have photos of someone with a 3rd gen running a prinsu habitat rack with the drifter?

Exploring all options as I search for a used affordable rack.

    Thanks

X2 I’m running it thru the roof the. In thru the corner of the tent, you can remove the panel and sneak it under the edge down to the hidden wiring track or into the corner pockets

Have most of you who own your Drifter re-geared?

If so did you go with 4.88 or 5.29

Considering taking advantage of the group buy but damn money is evaporating.

Where is everyone finding a 5x5 sheet of birch plywood for the base plates? I can't seem to find anything at home depot or other general stores like that. Do I have to go to a specialty store?

Yes I have 5.29’s. I couldn’t imagine driving through Utah crosswinds without gears and a Drifter, even stock. The shifting just sucks in the 3rd gens.

Highly recommend 5.29’s!!! @MTNHABITOVERLAND has them too!
