I was never a fan of aftermarket carpets, it just doesn’t fit right. I like to find clean junkyard cars and their carpet. Fits much better and they clean up well when I power wash it and scrub it with Borax.

Even in 2nd Gear it hauls more ass than my supercharged 3RZ.

The GX isn't as bad on the MPG as I was expecting. I average 17-19 mixed driving. That becky thing is nice but for the price you could almost buy a bumper with a swing out carrier.

    I have mods
I want to color change so I'll replace it. ACC stuff is usually pretty good.

Funny story. The morning @se7enine came to pick up my truck it would stop shifting into gear. I couldn’t physically force the shifter into any gear except neutral.

I let my friend try and drive it (who had about the same manual experience as me) and we had the same issue.

I felt so bad that I had to explain to him that somehow I blew the transmission after he drove all the way down here.

Turns out my friend and I were idiots who couldn’t drive a manual. Because when Gino got in the truck he shifted it like nothing ever happened.

Id say id prefer the v6. But not having to change a timing belt keeps me plenty happy with the 2rz. It still gets it plenty well even with 235s

I’d kill for a v6. I like towing things and the extra towing capacity would be sooo nice.

Also being able to overtake people would be nice too.

I've had some pretty good luck buying cars/trucks sight unseen. I did have to repair the clutch pedal cause it had major wear and I had to weld some metal to get it back to normal so that could have been the issue you guys had.

Every Toyota truck Ive driven with a manual sometimes has to be double clutched to get to go into gear.

I still don’t understand what happened when we had it. Did that not ever happen to you when you owned it? I just attributed it to our lack of driving manual.

What was worn out with the clutch pedal? I think when I was freaking out that morning some theories that came up was the clutch fork, the slave cylinder, or something in the transmission itself.

Had to look up what that was.

Yeah my buddy and I definitely had no idea what that was. He owns a 1999 Prelude and it’s a different beast from a 5-speed Tacoma.

The typical clutch pedal wear from the newer style spring. It would fail to return fully which would cause the clutch not to fully depress. It did it a few times but I would just pull it with my foot.

Oh man that would totally make sense. The clutch wasn’t going in all the way.

If you take the rubber pad off the clutch pedal you can see how shiny the metal is. I got a new one from the junkyard. Definitely was worn well.
