Gave a my bathroom a needed facelift over the course of a week or so. The tub was also almond but I didn’t take a pic of that before I refinished it.

Insulate and sheetrock the walls. Just added whatever SQF it is to your liveable space. Plus you can heat in the winter.

Nah, stick built or on site rather.
Mine wanted the same thing but with stuff the way it is, was not gonna happen. New floors, refinish tub & shower, paint the shower frame, walls, ship lap, new tub vanity and toilet and it looks like a new bathroom.
It was also needed to get done before ordering a lift kit . I’ll have to put hardwood floors in another room for wheels and tires tho...

I thinks it was easy for them to do. Use those cheap 4x4 tiles and build it up...

I have a shower in my house that slowly gets clogged. There are no other drain issues anywhere else. With the exception of a couple clogged drains in my life I've never seen anything like this. I'm planning on renting the place out in the future so I'm looking for a long term fix.

The sink, toilet and shower all go to a 4" pipe but I don't know what is between the drain and the 4". Anyone have an experience like this before?

Is it clogged? Is it on slab or crawlspace?

Get a plumbing company to camera the pipe, if needed snake or jet the pipe depending on the build up of grime.

I just cleaned it out with liquid drain cleaner. I've snaked it in the past. Liquid is just less messy.

It's usually good for about 2 or 3 months. It gets to the point where the draining can't keep up with the water from the faucet.

    It's the 2nd floor bathroom

Dont ever put drain cleaner down your drain, that is the worst thing for the pipes. The way it sounds is you have old metal drain pipes, over the years the inside of the pipe rusts and develops scaling which catch hair, soap scum etc and then creates a slow drain and then clog.
Do what 03 coma said, have a professional company come out and camera the line. They have better drain cleaning machines than your local home stores. If pipe replacement is needed they can tell you with the camera video they take.

Yea OP don’t use drain cleaner, it’s really bad for the plumbing. Not sure if you have pvc or cast pipes in the house. Your snake in no way is cleaning the pipe correctly, your just poking a hole through the clog, plumbers electric snakes are much better, if jetting is an option that will definitely clean the pipe for good. Tearing the ceiling down and replacing pipe and the trap is the last resort.

Call your local plumber you trust to get a camera done on the pipe, some times they will give you a good price on that if the have to snake it. The tub drain has all kind of Grime build up, soap and hair is the worst, everything clings to it and creates clogs and slow drains. Once you have it fixed see if you can find Total C drain cleaner. it’s organic and is a good drain maintainer, Amazon use to sell it.

Most clogs happen in the peripheral lines not the main line. Ridged makes a handheld electric (looks like an oversized drill motor attached to the snake) snake. Instead of messing with cleaners and other fix it quick things that at best give temporary improvement you can run this thing down the drain and and clear the problem.

I've owned rental property for years and learned real quick that people will put all sorts of stuff down drains that don't belong there. Tampons are the absolute worst and many women have no clue what damage they are causing, or don't care. I got tired of paying a plumber extortion to clear the drains. Oh, and several companies, Milwaukee for one, sell inspection cameras that have fiberoptic cables up to 20 feet or so. Again, great for most peripheral drains.

How is liquid drain cleaner bad for pipes? As far as I know drain cleaner (dry) is Sodium Hydroxide (a base) or (liquid) is sodium hypochlorite which is Sodium Hydroxide & Chlorine (Both Bases). Bases don't react with metal. PVC is listed as having "Excellent Resistance" to Sodium Hydroxide & Sodium Hypochlorite (<20%) https://www.calpaclab.com/pvc-polyvinyl-chloride-chemical-compatibility-chart/. The MSDS for Drano Max Gel lists Sodium Hypochlorite at 5 to 10%. https://resources.cleanitsupply.com/MSDS/SJN694768_SDS.PDF

Is it possible that drain cleaners have changed over the years or are there some other stronger brands out there?

I’m new to this, so I have a question. I’m in the middle of a bathroom renovation and was thinking about doing something different with a window frame. I’ve seen some windows where the edges are rolled or rounded in. So it almost looks like the walls roll into the window opening. I had a picture, but I’ve lost or deleted it. Does this make sense to anyone? And, how difficult is it to make?
