I can't remember, but youre in your early 20s correct? How tall are you? Do you have the regular bucket seats currently?

In my late teens I had a 95 dodge 1500 with a bench seat. Got it from my grandfather when I first learned how to drive, and since I was 8 I always wanted to turn a truck into a house... or a rolling bedroom at least. So you know I was sleeping inside that thing since day one.

I'm 6'2 and it was an access cab 1500 so the seats reclined a fair amount and nights were a little pain in the air trying to sleep on that thing. Would really fuck my hips up trying to sleep .. or fuck my knees up being scrunched in the fetal position all night

In the many years I lived in vehicles since then it's way nicer to just rock the seat all the way back and prop yourself up with a few pillows. When I bought my tacoma I tried it's stock seat bench seat for shits and gigs and I wanted to cry lol


Very first mod I did before even pulling the motor was install the shitty seats from my 98 runner. Much more better now!

All right I got another personal life tip but I'll keep this one short. Best thing I've found to do in cold weather is put on a pair of lady's stockings first and then put on long johns or insulated pants. Nice and toasty



In warm weather it's worse but I've got two 3 watt fans that plug into my stock cigarette lighter, they're only .65A so I can always turn the truck over in the morning.

Lean the pass seat all the way forward and put one in the access cab window behind it. The other one in the drivers window. Get yourself some screen material to keep the bugs out

Hey man don't knock it till you try it. Those stockings keep a nice layer of air trapped and that's an amazing insulator. Throw another layer on top and you'll end up ....

That's my in a pinch set up when the bed is full of tools or parts or other junk cause I'm a hoarder and ride around with some random ass shit sometimes. The real creme de la creme is insulating wall foam as a base in the bed and a memory foam mattress topper on top. Twin size fits perfect between the wheel walls of our trucks


After the steering is rebuilt I'll prob build a sleep platform so I can keep at least tools underneath me

I have several thousands (more like in the 10's) of already cleaned and prepped 5.56 brass in ammo cans that I'd give away.

That little plastic baggy is my first aid kit; a basic one I put together but it's one I have at all times with me. On outings though I'll take one that's slightly better equipped.

Another flash light lives underneath all that as well in case the batteries on the first one die too.
