I forget what the lease said specifically but iirc basically you can't have anything in the window that isn't the blinds.
So anything I have to do has to be on the inside of the window. Wouldn't normally be too big of an issue except the window is stupid big. 72"x54" I wanna say?
Maybe I'm exaggerating but it takes up half the damn wall. Pain in the dick to find something big enough to cover it.

Yeah, it's a big ass horizontal sliding window. The blinds don't do jack shit to keep the sun out. I usually have a sleep mask but it falls off and I get sick of having to sleep with something on my face.
The wife complained for a while that she didn't want to cover the window because she liked to let the sun in and whatnot. Mentioned something the other day and she goes "oh yeah, you can black that out whenever"
So yeah, that's happening this weekend.

People just don't understand how it is trying to sleep with light constantly coming in. It's ok for naps and stuff, but not every day.

 

Yeah, back when I worked nights in the army. I was in the barracks and didn't have a roommate so I had that room dark as fuck. Couldn't see your hand 2 inches from your face. Was super nice to get off work, have some beers while watching everyone go into work, then crawl back into my dark cave.
Wonder how the room will look with the window covered. I'll have to do a comparison pic or something.

 

This is gonna sound redneck as fuck, but I would be great in a blacked out room with a window unit

 

Our AC unit is right next to our bed lol. Not quite a window unit but it's in the wall right by the window.

 

I love the "white noise" from them.

 

Yeah, I have to love the white noise from it. I sweat my ass of sleeping during the day without it on.

 

I can't sleep if it's hot.

 

Me neither and if I do, I wake up soaked

 

That's one reason I've got to figure out a way to add a 5000 btu window unit to the camper
