They only sell a few thousand a year in the US anymore, I read recently that they might even pull it from the US market after 2022. High end luxury SUV market is very competitive here and Toyota spends next to nothing to market the Landcruiser in the US. But it does sell well in other parts of the world and I think they know their bread and butter here in the states is in sedans and Tacomas.

Oh and Priuses...Pri'i...? Priusicles? hybrids that's what I mean

    @eon_blue

Thinking back a bit, even I didn't venture to work my deal online specifically when I bought the 5.0 back in '16

I went out 30-40 mins away because it was the nearest superstore pushing out +300 cars per month, so they're all about volume.

Having arrived in person, I just asked the sales person if they can leave a line of cars open and we'll get to him if we need anything.

My SO was going back and forth between Premium and non-Premium, Ecoboost and the 5.0, until she ultimately decided on the white 5.0 non-Premium.

No matter how much we read about the car, or how many videos she started to watch (after I told her I'm buying her a car, she was stoked), nothing beat being there in person and driving that car.

Here's when we bought it -

Makes me miss the Camaro my dad had back in 2012 or 2013, has an LS V8 in it...hauled ass. He sold it after 6 months though because it was a total mid-life crisis buy and he could hardly get in/out of it lol.

Anyway, I like buying stuff online without having to go out all the time but I just couldn't spend that kind of money on a vehicle without test driving it first.

Carvanas latest commercial promotes their "car vending machine" approach which sounds ridiculous lol.

She loves it; but speaking of I need to replace the spark plugs.

It's roughly 10-12 bucks per, I just keep forgetting to order them :frusty:

LS3, your dad has good taste

But yeah that's just the majority of us...I don't have expendable cash in the tens of thousands to buy a car without driving it first.

    1st world problems

yup, like I said total mid-life crisis buy lol. Was a year after he and my mom split up and it was an ugly ordeal that lasted many more years, I think the honeymoon of the Camaro and it's 10mpg (plus his 1.5 hr commute every day) wore off quick.

    Enter ....the Chevy Volt

Now he has a Subaru Forester though

I fucking love all the Mustang memes out there

But god damn, idiots enable Mustang drivers to be idiots themselves.

She used to tell me about all the people that would rev at her at stop lights or signs on a daily.

The cars are interesting, but their drivers are even more interesting. The mustang has terrible suspension and has had it since about 1994. It's the lowest performing sports car in its class, for a good reason, it can't hang. But people use what HP they do have and get em sliding (and the rear will lift and walk effortlessly, they cannot hold the ground), but instead of lifting off the gas, these idiots time and again bury their foot even farther in the fuel until a wall or a crowd stops them. I don't get Mustang hype, and I don't get why young people (30 and below) buy them over any of the other boomer mobiles the dealers are pushing.
