    The problem is the Tacoma rears are Jackpot type - there is no differential cover to remove and replace. Excluding cutting the "pumpkin" off and welding on a deeper piece in it's place to increase fluid capacity. I'm not sure there would be enough benefit to justify the work and expense. If I were concerned about burnt diff fluid I would just increase the change out intervals since its a fairly simple process.
    But I know where your coming from Rob.

    Correct. To open it up you remove the driveshaft and unbolt the jackpot (ring & pinion set) from the "front" and pull it off.

    Please refer to build (click signature picture)
    its a design similar to a Ford 9" but smaller. (8.4" and 8") which is a sealed housing, third member design. This requires you to pull the axles to service the center diff.
