I agree. I would love to have a solid off-roader to really tackle some rough terrain and go to some uncharted places but I definitely wouldn’t do that with a 30k-40k vehicle.
Even with my Tacoma I’m a little hesitant about certain spots when off-roading. I cringe when I see newbies take their 40k truck off-roading and end up breaking it or totaling it.

If money wasn’t an issue no doubt I’d go for a bronco for solid off-roading, otherwise I’d probably just buy a used Jeep or something I can beat up.

That's also true. Just like majority of the jeep owners dont off road their vehicle. But if the bronco was a solid axle it would of been on a different level

    :notsure::notsure:
Most people want a vehicle that says “I do rugged things” to project a certain image of themselves, meanwhile they only go get groceries with it. Hence my neighbor with a shiny Jeep JL 3inch lift and 35s.:notsure:

A lot don’t care about practicality as much as image.
Which I think is the main reason the Bronco will sell.

Alright the Bronco looks awesome. They did a great job with it- unlike what Chevy did to the Blazer. Congrats on that. Roof comes off, doors come off, man I love it. But with no V8 option good luck after 100k miles, and also good luck with your depreciation after purchase.

When I saw the blazer I really didn’t know who their target audience was?
Soccer moms? CHR owners? My grandma?

Chevy dropped the ball on that one.

The GMC hummer EV is going to be real interesting. The silhouette looks solid. Going to be interesting seeing an electric vehicle in that shape.

I personally feel like this vehicle has a lot of potential...and GM already hobbled it before it even left the gate by attaching the Hummer brand to it. Why try revive the brand thats so heavily associated with a bunch of Coldplay blasting, polo-wearing Chaz's? In all of their long, sad history where GM decided to toss the old traditional brands in the trash, this is the one they wanted to dig back out.

It’s weird how car companies take the same model name and attach it to a totally different design far out from the original.
Weird to call it a hummer but a truck shape.

Just like it’s weird that Ford calls the mustang mach- e a mustang when it strikes almost no resemblance but some minor details that most cars share across the platform.

It's free advertising. Advertisements are all about building a "brand" that people have an emotional attachment to so they are more easily separated from their money. Take something that hasn't been around in decades but people still remember and its basically free branding even if the two have nothing to do with each other besides the same parent company.

I remember I knew a guy at the gym who always bragged about his mustang. Talked about the V8 how it was his baby, so fast, how no one in town had a mustang like him, etc.

So I walk out thinking it’s going to be some badass old school 69 Shelby mustang.

Turns out it was a 1989 mustang.
    I was so disappointed.
That car doesn’t even look like it belongs in the same family tree.

The only Mustang that doesnt belong in the family tree was the Pinto based Mustang II from 74-78.
