Tacoma driving hazard venting

So just venting my frustration ..take it like u wish ..
So why does every person on the road think they can
1 pass us
2 cut us off
3 swerve into our lane
Its a Tacoma not a semi with a trailer .
We are just enjoying our trucks and drive like a normal person .While the rest of the world drives like the end is coming .
I love my truck but I wish people would have more courtesy for us truck owners .

When the whole world seems crazy it's usually a good time for some self reflection. Just messing with you. In this case you're not wrong. I think the most important part of your mini rant was:

 

Lol. You probably drive super slow. You’re probably the guy that drives the speed limit in the left lane and when people swerve around you and cut you off, you get butt hurt and post on Tacomaworld. You bought a truck, stop worrying about your mpg and get after it a little.

People don’t see a truck and automatically think “fuck this guy, I’m cutting him off”. It’s your driving or your grumpy mind state lol.

 

I hate fuckheads that hang out in the left lane. Complete ignorance and stupidity.

There are a few vehicles that may get targeted by other drivers:

Hummer H2
Lamborghini / McLaren etc
Lifted F-450

The lowly Tacoma is not one of them.

 

This happens to me in every car, truck, motorcycle I've driven. I don't think it's a Tacoma thing

 

Not sure why it’s worth being irritated about people passing you...as for the rest, at least 50% of the population are terrible drivers and they don’t care if you’re in a Taco or a Prius, they’re gonna keep on being terrible. No one is like, oooo that Tacoma, I’m gonna cut him off that asshole mid-sized truck!

complete morons, it's like no one ever told them it's a PASSING lane, if you're not passing you don't belong in it.

 

I have been driving since 1974 and there has always been idiots on the road but not like today. Back then you might see someone driving erratically while trying to eat a Smash burger or putting on lipstick but today everyone is in a hurry to get from point A to Point B which can be a block away. Then there is all the distractions that these people think they can manage while they are supposed to be driving. I recently watched a lady drive through a red light with a clip board on her steering wheel reading it for someone she was talking to on her cell phone. She was barely moving and had a cop behind her with his lights on and the whoop whoop siren going. She still didn't notice he was there. Even today I got to watch a lady smack the shopping cart rack at the grocery store with her CRV while pulling into a place to park. She was on her cell phone. It really is bad out there anymore.

 

i am an old fart, 75 tomorrow, i don't drive slow but i don't go 60 in a 45. if i am in the left lane and someone is coming up on me from the rear i signal and get in the right lane.

 

Dude... its everyone... not just you or "us".... you drive the speedlimit, youre a hazard to society... you know... the society that chooses to live 20+ over the speedlimit... I'm used to people passing me...

I did a fun little study once. I did 10 runs of my normal home-to-work commute where I never exceeded the speed limit despite what traffic was doing, and I did 10 runs being as frisky as I dared (despite what traffic was doing). The average difference was slightly over 30 seconds time gained, at a penalty of well over 10 mpg lost.

That pretty much cemented in some new driving habits right there.

 

I don't care how 'crazy' people drive, I just wish they would do it consistently. Really fun to try to pass a slow person and they fucken speed up, keeping you from being able to get back over. Or a fast person gets in front of you and slows down. Fucken PICK SOMETHING AND STICK WITH IT

 

i drive 20 miles on two-lane road with double yellows the whole way and very tight turns. Even if I drive 15 over there is always an asshole who gets so close behind me I can't even see their headlights. then i slow down and they refuse to pass over the double yellow. why don't they just go around? they already drive like assholes, just cross the double yellow fucking pussys
