What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

We were very bad influences for that..

 

There are several grounds to the engine. One is on the passenger side by the fire wall. One on the intake that's for the ecu.

Then the starter direct ground from the battery.

I think that's it...might be one I'm forgetting..

But no direct ground to the engine from the battery I'm pretty sure.

 

technically the one to the block alternator side (starter ground as you called it) i believe ties into the battery body ground wire. but i may also be wrong.. dont pay too much attention to it

 

It's by the oil filter. But a little bit forward and down.

 

That's a good idea. While I don't still have the old ones (let a steel scraper have them), I have two 95s and the other one needs one spring. The left spring broke a while back and I only replaced that one. I could go ahead and buy the RH side and take that old one apart and reuse. I might just try that for a project/learning experience.

I don't think I was making any excuses, Mr. ; just sharing my style to compare rear shock travel needs. Plus, I'm still slower than Monte and @Squeaky Penguin for sure.

Not enough very's in this sentence. Getting out as much as I do, and so putting the miles under my belt helps a lot too I think, becomes a lot easier to pick lines and go fast when you're doing it all the time.

 

Oh yeah. that always helps. The threshold of comfort grows all the time.

 

I don't think it'll be possible to slow down...until im like 70 haha hard to go back to slow speeds.

 

Depends on terrain I think. I've learned which terrain can accept higher speeds without really messing with the truck. When I hit rocks, I slow way down. Our last couple trips have been on nicely graded roads.

Who knows, maybe I'm just fooling myself.

 

That's a good point. I have a dog now so that could impact my world more than I think. He'll be in the cab still but Devin will not want it to be crazy.

Could get a dog harness though...
