Mine comes on with ~2.5 gallons left, usually right about the E line or a little above it.

You may have been right at the edge of having it come on

 

So It's a constant wining sound?

 

Racecar part suppliers can get you an AN fitting in any possible configuration you can imagine.. I had a boss with a hobby car habit and he had a 1/2 catalog dedicated to fuel fittings.

are you sure you have one? my 96 doesn't.

 

I'll have to take it lower next time. With my gear and tire combo my speedo and odo are so far off I dont like risking it

When I first turn the key on should I see it light up temporarily? I'm fairly sure it has one cause it was on when I bought it, PO drained the tank lol

Yeah I rarely get to where the light comes on, with how shitty my MPGs are by the time the light comes on I can go maybe another 25 - 30 miles before I'm in trouble lol.

On mine you can see where the light is by the fuel gauge even when it's off, its a light shaped like a fuel pump. Maybe the earlier models just had a basic round light? I know some earlier base models didn't come with one at all.

It replaces the ashtray and uses the stock screws to bolt in place. It's the switch I used for the ditch lights

 

If he doesn't want it, I'll take it! It'll give me a spot to mount front and rear locker switches plus the ashtray in my tech has been missing since I bought it

 

Yup, I did this to my 4Runner. Two fittings made to adapt to the Toyota fuel pump flange fitting and another to the fuel filter. The pre made 8' braided lines from Russel are cheaper than the stock fuel line piece that connects to the hardline.

 

You've got a working gauge, no need for an idiot light.

I can't remember if the fuel light comes on with ignition on but I'll check come fall. Too hot for favors right now.

In Arkasas' defense, we only went to a small town down south; it wasn't by choice either.

5 of us were going on a road trip from CA to FL before we deployed again (we were marines in the same platoon).

Well we went to Bo's hometown on the way to visit his family for a quick stop. The rest of us stayed in the van as his parents or grandparents yelled out racial slurs about "who are these xxxx" etc lol

In the van was me, Correa (Mexican), Jackson (African American), and Tilton (Italian, but dark)

We did not belong in that side of town at all
