    It’s a little hard to damage these trucks out here unless you drive far and/or hit an OHV park. Pinstripes from trees on the other hand can happen on the easiest of dirt roads. That’s the damage I’ve gotten from bouncing around Midwest dirt roads.

    *edit
    Let me qualify that with... it’s hard to break these trucks around here Unless you’re being stupid. Otherwise WI is a bit in the mellow end of the off-roading scale

    Honestly, the only things I've backed out of this year have been deep mud/water, and the rock climb on the Pipeline.

    Apparently, the rock climb might be off limits now if the information someone posted a few weeks ago is true. That sucks, because I wanted to attempt it once I get my gas tank skid.

    Right? :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    I did manage to wreck my skid plate last year when I found a rock hiding in a water crossing. This is probably a rare exception, though.:oops:

    That shit wasn’t easy. Those rocks were big and they moved, which was nervy. My stock shitty skids got banged up on the hill climb for sure.

    By which you mean you used your skids for their intended purpose.

    The new map suggests only the end bit of the pipeline is closed. That cute little posing rock should be still open

    Yes! I say it did it's job. The stock ones seem to be ok for a few good uses. I got real skids now, though! :militarypress:

    This is I guess a better way to describe what I said in my last post.

    Growing up working on the farm things had to get done, sometimes you had to push your comfort zone to get something done which is where I learned just how far to push the equipment.

    All this was done with no cell phones (never heard of), shit most of the farms had party line phones.

    Like Dustin said I have gone thru things in a stock truck that at first glance would make you think there's no way I'll make that.

    I never intended that post to mean you have recovery gear go get stuck and brake shit.

    Believe me, I want to challenge the truck more. I'm still pretty new at this, so I'm working my way up to it. I'll definitely admit that I've been pretty conservative in the past. I'll bet the guys who went on the camping trip last September would agree! But, I'm getting a little more comfortable. Heck, I took a buddy up to the Pipeline in June and I think I made him nervous a few times.:)

    I never do anything I don’t feel completely comfortable with. I may be nervous and still do it. If it looks sketchy I’ll walk it , check it, and decide. Could I have made it through some shit areas? Absolutely! I’m not worried about pushing the truck. It’s my stress level! Lol!!!:rofl::goingcrazy::rofl:

    It opens late and closes early. It's a ridge way above the tree line. You won't want to get stuck there during a snow storm
