Absentee ballots, or every Oregon resident votes for the president via mail in? Oregon really doesn't matter, it will be blue every year.

Every Oregon resident - and I agree, doesn't really matter. But I thought it was weird when I first moved here because of the same thoughts you guys have.

Of course, but we should be able to do better. I mean, having ballots counted by hand, or computer, or anything else. We should be able to make a secure way to vote with all the business we conduct online. Maybe it’s not a 1 day thing. Maybe you vote a certain way, and then you verify your vote. I have no idea, but it doesn’t seem using the mail we use for almost nothing these days or going to stand in line are both crappy ways to do it

I think Mail-in leads to a potential for fraud, I don't think the amount of realized fraud we would see is nearly as significant as some people are making it out to be.

Honesty: I signed up for twitter for news, I followed my governor, the local school board, high school, etc, local news stations, local DOT - I have a constant feed if there are road closures, snow days, etc etc etc. It was fantastic and then I stopped for some reason. Maybe when i got my new phone, don't remember. I mean - I don't get all news ever from twitter, but it's a decent first-stop sort of thing. Scroll through in the AM, see that school is cancelled, I95 is closed from 9PM to 10PM, etc.

Is that what we're blaming it on today?

Kind of a scary case though. He tested positive, went in, started improving, and then two weeks later... :( he was 74, but otherwise I think the guy was relatively healthy.

That's a good point, hand counting isn't exactly good either. I don't know the answer, but I agree, there has to be a way to get almost 100% accuracy considering all the technology we have.

It took a few months but my 401K, IRA and Roth IRA are all finally back up to where I started the year. But being the end of the month, there could be a hiccup in the next day or 2. I wanted to move some of the stuff but did not want to take the loss if it was going to bounce back. I ended up doing nothing yet so that looks like it was a decent plan.

Monopoly: Buy, sell, trade, puts, calls, do this, do that, buy, sell, buy more, sell more, NRGU, buy, sell, FUN, buy

    Boring/Retirement: Increase contribution, do nothing.

Boring and retirement accounts, don't mess with those. A few bucks for your monopoly kind of stuff, sure. I didn't touch my retirement (upped contributions though). My boring account? Not a thing.

NRGU, 4 letters I’ve seen so much around here I’ll never forget, I’ll be telling my grandkids about NRGU someday. Just don’t know if I’ll be telling them you all hung on and scored big, or said screw it and bailed.

VSTO was underperforming compared to RGR and SWBI so I sold it, then it took off... can't win em all.... too late to buy in now I'm sure

Well, today turns from total disaster to only a moderate disaster?

Also, for as much as CNBC is "left-center", they choose the absolute worst, most un-flattering pictures of SOH whenever they have an article where she comes up.

I’ll be saving for a few months, so the plan is to save half and invest half of all new money until I have what I need. I’ve been comfortable lately adding to my 26 stocks and 1 ETF, I seem to be mirroring the market but with about 2.5x the yield of the S&P.

I am up 137% on CONN. Will get out at 300%... hopefully in less than 2 years. :D

Or they will declare bankruptcy by then.

Curious about your stance on this given that you live in Colorado.
We've had mail in voting forever..... I take my ballot to a box to drop it off, but I receive it in the mail and I can mail it in if I want.
