If the engineers thought you needed it, your truck would've come off the line with a TRD oil cap. Therefore, you don't need it. They are all powerful and all knowing.
    Just pure logic.

Its almost as if the Automotive industry is profit-driven, and selling shiny widgets with the magic letters on them is good for business isnt it?

County Roads with 8ft tall Walls of Corn on either side essentially create private race tracks LOL. Long stretches of winding roads with tunnel-like privacy. Its the best time of year.

Me too. I've had about 10 cars/trucks. This is the first thing I had tinted. It was almost necessary to look right with the dyed back glass. Not the best pics, but it makes a difference on black for sure

If you're getting a double cab get the OEM roof rack unless you are planning on spending money immediately on a aftermarket upgrade. You can also see them on Toyota's website.

I scored a pretty good deal on a OEM rack that will be shipped today but for whatever reason I could not find a black 3rd gen with the OEM rack on it...was just curious

Thinking about 17" 4runner TRD wheels with some 265/70/17 tires.

Thanks a lot -- appreciate that. It's cheaper and easier to just keep it simple. For the most basic 4x4 (besides SRUP) mostly stock, add a few OEM upgrades, wheels&tires, and for less than 2k you wind up with a pretty capable and functional daily driver. Dont get me wrong, obviously aesthetics are also important, just not the most important thing to me. After years of constantly modding sports cars I've learned some valuable lessons -- they all wound up costing me money up front and long term. I parted ways with a sports car to get this truck and I kinda want this to last me 20 years. So keeping it stock as possible is my approach to hopefully getting longevity out of it.

I'm not an over lander or hardcore offroader.. my truck has been off pavement a few times already and I'll take it camping once or twice a year, but really 4x4 is for my 70 mile commute on snow days. These little pickups are built to handle anything the average person is going to be doing, so no need for me to alter things just to feed the mod addiction. Been there done that. Mudflaps and maintenance are the last mods for me.
