It's a good appraisal, some items that my truck has were not available to be plugged in. ie, mud guards, electronic tailgate lock, wheel locks, bed lights. I will have to think it over now. If I sell now I will have to wait until end of year to get another Tacoma at a decent price, but I can get a OR.

You're not kidding. I'm deployed in place right now helping with covid so I can't go anywhere and get a new vehicle. I also have to drive 200 miles to drop the vehicle off.

My hands are tied... maybe the deal will stick around or maybe I'll miss out. Fortunately I'm very happy with my truck as is and the price I got it for (private sale).

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Buy a kid a car? Isn't that what bagboy, cashier, stocking jobs and saving their money is for?

It all depends on the kid. My youngest got a full ride to school and a paid for new Hyundai when she graduated. She’s responsible, gainfully employed, did her masters on her own dime when she decided her degree choice didn’t meet life needs. No regrets. Oldest: I had to take her high school car back when she stopped going to college. She sorted herself out eventually and is in a really good place now like the youngest.

Midwest. My truck has low miles. Obviously I won't be selling it to Carvana.
Seems they just took the KBB value and added a whopping $15 as a local market premium.

What was the base and the market premium? Just curious.

Over here on the Space Coast, my market premium was $1500 for my 17 Sport.

They quoted me 19,980 for my 19’ double cab sr5 with 11,000 miles.
Did they do any deductions on their estimates for yours? On mine they subtracted 6,000 dollars for mechanical defects.
Also they subtracted 3500 for local market

Redline custom leather shift and e-brake boot. VFTUNE Super Full Otto cycle, octane learning, premium fuel.
For fun they offered 27680 on mine, I paid 27,800. I couldn't select blazin blue pearl though, I am sure it is worth a extra 120 bucks because it is the best color. Lol.

Inventories are down, but demand is still strong. A dealer friend told me wholesale prices on 4x4 trucks went up $3k recently.

Seriously. I thought parents buying their kids cars was something made up for American TV shows.

Carvana will buy my 17 Sport with P&T for $34,500 which is great and my local dealer has a 2020 Sport with P&T but they went up in price so no thanks and I love my truck .20200730_223439.jpg

I got an offer of 21K for my truck as is and 25K with it returned to stock. If I returned it to stock and sold all my mods, I'd be down a couple grand or so, not bad but way too much work.

This kid, worked multiple jobs at the same time in High School to pay for my busted a** first car and my own college even having a 4.0, and parents were not poor by any means, just different parenting styles I guess.
