It's possible... my 98 4runner with the 2.7 had a misfire in cyl 3 and I thought it was maybe a pitted valve or something cause I changed injector coil and the PO had put a new head gasket it.

Aside from him fucking a bunch of shit up getting the head back in when he did the job he completely overlooked the crack in the head between the 2 exhaust valves:(

Bought a fully built chinesium head for a company in CO for around 600 to my door. I've put about 1500 miles on that head no issues so far

First thing ill do is check the injector and if its fine then this will be the likely cause then. Like i said it only has those 2 symptoms besides stinky exhaust now. Runs great and i still rip it

You can get all 4 injectors for a 3rz for less than 40 bucks shipped

    I wouldn't trust 4 injectors for $40 bucks.

Saw that on an old toyota nation thread apparently it isn't uncommon to burn exhaust valves

I'm not sure, I only have about 175k miles. Is that the first thing I should look at?

I got the truck for $1650 and it has bedliner on the roof it isn't getting top shelf stuff

Used the cheapest Chinese injectors on my Tacoma they worked great for a year than I decided fk it and got motorwest performance injectors which are now on @Wulf s truck

Can't be worse than running on a dead cylinder
