Now I have ample motivation to get my concealed carry permit, I got my first “delay” on NCIC check so I can’t pick up my M&P today.

    Edit: NICS, not ncic.

NGL, the NICS bypass was half the reason to get the TX LTC

Yeah, I carry permitless so it’s 100% the reason to get it for me, although it is nice to have the permit for out of state.

Got my Olight today, the switches are a little bit odd compared to my TLR-1 but I like the features and brightness.

I got the same today as well. I like the buttons compared to the mini.

That’s funny, I think I like the bottoms on the mini better, but they’re more similar to the TLR switch :notsure:

You're probably going to have to give make and model of your banana to get a good recommendation

Current banana is a SW MP shield 9.
Future bananas will/could be CZ SP-01 and/or SW MP2.0 fullsize bananas.

    Same crap everyone else got
If you're not wearing it, I'd imagine any run of the mill kydex holster for a shield would suite your needs for that location. Or are you tying to be able to take it off the molle rack and wear i also?

Either/or. Not looking for a one-size-fits-all deal as I don't usually CC, though I am licensed.

    Finally got cleared today....
Initial impressions, I love it, trigger is so much better than my M&P gen 1 even though it has thousands of rounds through it, the medium-large grip is near-perfect (I’m running the 2.0 large on my gen 1), and the slightly longer slide is negligible difference in hand. Once I get a CHPWS plate and 509T it should be about finished.
Break in range day is tomorrow, I’ll run 150-200 rounds through it since I don’t want to burn up too much ammo.

Shoot you can get a black Gen 2 without that ugly tail hook for $670in Plano, just have to wait a couple weeks.

Appreciate it. That's about what they are going for here locally here. The one I missed out on was listed for 900.. best deal by far, and much more accurately priced. I usually flag the overpriced listings. Still looking..

And I've seen those Texas posts. Only ones accurately priced. But yeah.. backorder sucks. Id prefer just the pistol... No brace.. as I want to do a sliding collapsible I think.

I'd trust you Texas TW boys over anyone else for shipping it. I avoid anything out of state or "shipping" like the plague. If something in TX does pop up.. I'd be willing to pay for someone's time of they're interested.

I got her maiden 120 rounds or so through her by running Mozambique drills first with rifle and then switching to pistol, the taller sights take a slight bit of adjusting but she’s a good shooter, I’m really happy with this pistol, I didn’t notice the porting very much but I’m just running S&B 115 grain.
She does get hot quick though, where the slide pokes through the bottom of the holster was uncomfortably warm but the fact that it’s 102* out probably contributes.
