If that was me, I wouldn't have thrown it. I would grab it by the end of the handles and continuously smash it against the ground until the engine disconnects from the mower.

Excellent hardware, IMHO, esp when unleashed by OVT.

Seven of us. New company. We're working on our launch customer project.

We have a dolt for a Design Manager. Design group of three including the dolt. He was responsible for three designers leaving before I arrived. The owner is a friend for a long time. I bought my first m/c from him.

The dolt started throwing me under the bus for his mistakes, as is his way, about 6mo after I landed here. The owner even investigated his old employers and confirmed attitude issues.

Well, we've been trying to close out the design of just the addition of an In Arm Tray for the front row for 18 freaking months. It was a 2mo estimate that has been push right innumerable times to the point that we are now late on the launch project. COVID issues ain't helping.

The owner thinks he is a bad designer (was a stress analyst most of his previous career) and not a good person, but will not let him go. He thinks it would cause disruption.

The one other person here with a head for our scope of work and me have been pushing for his firing for 9mo now. Disruption. Right!

I'm Cert and QMS Manager and Test Engineer. I wrote the QMS that everyone agreed to (this was not a role I was supposed to be in) and got it accepted by the FAA. Yet, I can only get two of us to follow it. Everyone else thinks the easiest way is the best way forward, which is fanatically encouraged by the dolt. I had an arguement with the owner earlier this week about shitty drawing releases.

Today, it was about the long standing issue of slipping in a changes to a released drawing. The old rev was out for a month and completely signed off, just not filed on the Read-Only drive because the person responsible was out with a sick newborn and just catching up. We all agreed as a group, twice, that no slip-ins are allowed even for obvious and simple typos because of past, documented abuse. The owner had the nuts to say that we should just do it the easy way, knowing full well that will lead to abuse.

This doesn't even mention our Euro patent filing. The Euro review said that we are probably infringing on a couple other existing US patents. The USPO has not yet responded and had a 12mo lead now.

I :frusty: am :frusty: just :frusty: baked :frusty: .

    Mistype. Meant "day"

Agreed. That's what my plan is in a few weeks, if I can make it till then. I've had my share of head bumping with the corporate folks coming in and trying to explain how bassackwards their system is for not only us, but the store in a way that made perfect sense, but they just did the typical "talk to the manager and he'll pass off the stuff to the right people". MF you are the people! I'm working on putting myself in a position to actually make some damn decisions that can help, but getting myself fired for calling the boss a naive jackass won't help. Only thing I'm dealing with now is not being able to fix anything because today just ain't my day

Ah! My good friend works for his family. That can be its own goat rope.

That's the thing. The QMS can anything as long as it fits the requirements and is followed. I think I got three pieces of valuable input in the last year that goes beyond, I didn't read it / there are too many procedures / processes. We're building fucking seats that peeps are gonna fly on and potentially crash on someday. Fuck.

You might know this or have it, but for freeze / thaw, you would want 6x6 welded wire mesh? Esp if you don't have a joint planned in that long direction.
