OV Tune pretty much has the tune market here.
No one is doing speedo cals though.

 

For those of you interested.
I will be making a SOS Concepts order soon. I’m going to pick up my order with my buddies truck and trailer.
So. I have spoken to Eddy and if you would like to order I will bring your item back to St. Louis from SOS, for half the shipping price (unless we get a lot of people then the price will drop for shipping) when I pick up mine if you order around the same time.

Between OVTune, Tech Stream, and Hypertech, I think everyone that needs/wants to tune or change calibrations can lol.

Plus OVTune goes up to 20.

 

Looking forward to getting some cable throttle feel.. Going from that Jeep to the truck is gruesome for responsiveness. It really is god awful, even compared to the 4 cyl

 

You get used to it. Maybe it's the weather, but mine has been really lively lately

 

Thanks for input, HP tuners is the software I am talking about, if you need some Dyno time to help let me know. I have learned to make the tune fit the application of the vehicle daily driver, wheeler, towing, overlanding or all of the above. We want bolt on's (cold air kits, headers, cat backs) done before the tune so we can utilize every HP and Ft.Lb. safely. I just did 4.88's and 33's on my Gen 3, but HP tuners will not address Gen 3 so I guess I will use Hypertech to correct Speedo. Who is doing gear installs in the st louis area?

ovtune has everything you need for 3rd gen tuning. You still need the hypertech for speedo correction though

Question about electrical (not my area of expertise). Looking to get a dual battery setup going so I have a way to power a fridge for weekend camping. Planning on having it in the cab, again I am very much uninformed on electric and not sure if I need to get an inverter to power the fridge. I have a 2011 base model so no inverter. Thinking about installing a 600ish watt inverter under the seat and running the fridge off that and so I'll have a way to use other electronics if the need arises. Is this the right way of thinking or am I making myself out to be a fool? Thanks

 

Many fridges have built in support for 12v,24v, and 110. With that said you may be able to simplify your wiring a bit and omit the inverter.

Depending on what you are doing, you may not even need to do all that work.

I just put in a 27f AGM for my main battery. Ran 12v power to the cab. Using low voltage shutoff on the fridge. I can get a couple days run time based on temps without running the truck.

I carry a jump pack just in case the shut off fails or something weird.

definitely get a 12v fridge. An inverter is going to suck a huge amount of power. Most stuff (including laptops) you charge / run off 12v.

 

I know someone selling their genesis offroad dual battery setup

I had mine hooked up to the batter directly no inverter needed. However, I was looking in to solar, thats where I want the redarc manager 30

 

Kinda what I was wondering, wasn't sure if the inverter was needed or not. I'll do some more digging to be sure. Thanks for the input.
