there's commonly a tiny bit of slop inside of the column itself. On washboard roads it becomes really apparent

 

if I had an old common rail diesel I'd probably send it through a couple filters and run it as fuel

 

if I have to go back to commuting I want to buy an old TDI Jetta

 

Throw that diesel in a pot, slice up some potatoes, carrots, and onions - and baby you’ve got a stew going.
