Honestly I originally had a deal on a 2016 SR5 4x2. Nice truck but the financing fell through.

The only thing that I miss from that truck is the auto dimming rear view mirror.

I have Android/Apple Carplay Auto Power windows, Power Door locks, 4 Wheel Drive Sirius XM Radio Bluetooth.

To me it comes very well equipped as standard.

But I heard that they may already have the harnesses for the fogs. Is that true? If so, that would be even better as most people seem to upgrade from the stock fogs which might be halogens

From what I have read, most of them have the harness which means you can add the fogs to make them operate like stock. I did mine without the steering column disassembly, got a kit off ebay with a switch. Cost about 50.00. There is a thread that someone will probably post that shows how to check the wiring to tell which version you have and how to install via the steering column method.

Compared to the other trims, they are. But with most modern cars/trucks, they cram so much into even the base models. Thats why I went with my SR, it has literally everything I could ever want.... well except for the locking rear diff and a better gear ratio but thats besides the point hah

The SR's are a great value!

Most SR are equipped with utility package, remote entry and fog light cannot be added at the dealer during the purchasing process because it’s listed as unavailable.
However SR can be “converted” with these option using OEM parts if you’re comfortable with that process.

    Look for a SR5 instead

I’ve only seen one utility package SR, most I’ve seen are the standard or SX.

I got mine with the SX pkg, so have keyless entry, intermittent that I think is now standard, upgraded rims, got the floor mat sill pkg, added the fogs myself. Added a clip on mirror on the passenger visor for my wife. Basically other than the power seat, it's about an SR5. I'm not a big techie guy so actually just got the android auto working today, didn't take long just hadn't bothered yet. Anyway, totally agree unless you have to have that trd sticker, for most people the SR is more than enough. If you are big into off road then I guess the locker and crawl are good. I'm old and cheap so hard for me to go out boondocking in a 30 K or more $ pickup, nothing against those that do, just out of my budget.

Yeah my 17 is a standard version, was pre-wired for fogs and even had the moldings on the rockers under the doors.. apparently thats an option but it was never listed anywhere on my window sticker hah
