Duratracs? The tires that use to be known for chunking, but are also know for their exceptional grip due to their siping and soft compound?

Yup. Exactly what I'm saying. A c load duratrac is going to wear relatively quick. Having a duratrac that looks like new after the few years would be the exception, not the norm.

I had e load duratracs and my truck sat 5-6 days a week. Also, spent quite a bit of time on FSRs. Believe it or not, looked like new after 2 years.

So you had a tire that sounds like you took care of, which was over rated capacity wise for the truck, which saw no miles, and you're basing what a tire should look like off those details

I have duratracs now had them for over 2 years and they look great before that I had the bfg’s and had to replace them because of tread separations. I know these guys say that type of cracking is normal but I’ve never seen it on a tire that didn’t badly need replacement.

I don't get where the confusion is. You had a truck you didn't drive and you're preaching the tire looks like new.

Regardless. You got your new tires. Good on you.

I doubt there's an issue with KO2s. Most guys that need AT tires look at their tires more than once every two years and are familiar with how some tires age. The reason why most are saying it's not a big deal is because when they had the same thing happen to theirs they probably drove them another 20k with no issue.

Yeah, i dont agree with the guys that say its normal. Maybe after 4-5 years, sure.
I said earlier that, if this was perfectly normal BFG would be the first ones to tell me that, instead they pro rated with no questions asked, because tires shouldnt do that.

Same BFG's here, 4 years old low mile (25k) do not have this issue.

Take the 66%, its a great offer and get something new that fits your needs.

Lotta Duratrac chatter here. I had Duratracs on my 11 4Runner they are awesome off road with great sidewalls for low pressure wheeling. Also a great tire in the snow but they can be very loud on the street especially after 5-8k miles. YMMV

The confusion is, i stated earlier that my duratracs looked brand new after 2 years. You said, you dont believe that. So i explained myself.

I had pirellis that i had for 4 years. I drove daily for 2 and then it sat on weekdays for 2, they looked like new. My BFGs also look like new after 2 years, except for the splits. I take care of my tires and it doesnt take much to keep them looking new.

According to TW , after 4 years and only 25k miles, your tires should disintegrate by now. Haha!

I loved my duratracs but yes, they were a bit noisy.

Have you reached out to the manufacture? Not much TW can do for you.
