My iphone is jailbroken (11Pro Max on iOS 13.5). I run a tweak called Carbridge ($5 on Cydia), which allows me to run any app you run on your iphone under carplay. Also, with the 6600, polarized sunglasses are not an issue. The PX6 was great for running all kinds of Apps, but I am getting the same capability with Carbridge. The display is so much brighter and sharper with the 6600 and the audio is very clean. For the money the PX6 was a good solution, but the PX6 is an android tablet with audio capability added. The 6600 is an audio unit with the carplay interface added.

Thanks, I have to see what my options are for android with a non-rooted phone. My particular model can never be rooted unfortunately.

    Two questions guys:

    1. Does anyone knows how to get into the source off menu? I don't see that available on the screen.

    2. Is the clock adjusted by itself? Mine automatically adjusted to March 26 2020, and I have no way to correcting it.

    Please help!

I installed Cydia. I just can’t figure out how to add the Carbridge app. I go to search and type it in but it never searches. Lol. Any apps u could recommend from Cydia would be cool also. Thanks!!

From the Home Screen touch on the far right and drag to the left. If it’s not on that new screen drag one more time. It will be there. Also if like playing the radio tap the little triangle next to radio on the top left. A drop down menu will show up. Scroll to source off and push it. Clock should adjust to proper time after driving or syncing with your phone

Cydia is free: It is the front end used by the jailbreak community to host software packages for install. Some of the packages are free and some are paid. The jail breaking process will install the Cydia software as part of the jailbreak.
    1. Add the Packix repo to Cydia: https://repo.pixelomer.com/
    2. Refresh sources
    3. Purchase Carbridge Lite ($4.99)
    4. Follow the links to link it to your phone
    5. Refresh our sources again and download the tweak.

    Thank you, it is working!

But........... I'm so frustrated with the Pioneer apps. I do not understand why I can't have it connect with my unit.
    Apple Carplay working
    Apple Carplay Wifi working
    USB connection no problem
    IPOD connection working
    BT connection working
    PHONE connection working

I even connected my phone with the unit by Wifi, and everything seems fine.....but just not able to have the App connecting.

Can anyone give me some hints? Or what exactly needs to have BT or Wifi connected? Thanks

I was also checking out crutch field but they don't offer a ready harness for this guy? did yall just wire up your own harness? I can do that... I just like taking the guess work out of it and their harnesses are nice. Going to sell my 4400 and upgrade after seeing that picture on the first page.

We have all wired up the harness ourselves, but it is a very simple color match and the directions for maestro rr are spot on. There have been a couple of screen issues on the 6600 itself and one bad maestro rr that I know of, but for the most part, it is an easy install. The hardest part of the install is modifying the factory brackets to get the unit flush with the dash.

So i may as well order from Amazon then since it doesn't sound like I'll need any of the typical free crutchfield goodies.

wonder if they changes the receiver side of the wiring harness? I prob can't get away with just plugging my existing pioneer harness into the new radio.....

If you are not worried about retaining steering wheel controls, you can buy a pioneer to Toyota harness. However, if you want steering wheel controls, you will need to by the Maestro RR unit, and the Toyota interface cables. There is a full shopping list on post #335

    I've already got a maestro and a pioneer AVH-W4400NEX So I'm hoping I don't need a new MAESTRO

I would venture a guess that the pioneer harness is exactly the same. You will probably just need to reprogram the Maestro unit.

Anyone have factory brackets for sale. :bananadead:

I kinda think I wanna flush mount mine.

I haven’t jailbroke my iphone in forever. Is it still as easy as it used to be? I had a lot of modifications to mine back in the day.

Hope this helps as an example how to install Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX. Using Factory bracket and adding a piece of aluminum flat stock. For factory bracket only mod was to remove stamped dimples in bracket.

The aluminum flat stock just drilled two holes 1 upper and 1 lower to mount as a bracket. This way allowed radio to sit flush with bezel.

Has anyone made 3D printed brackets that align it perfectly? Someone made them for the Dasaita, and worked perfectly for me.
