Thats great, thanks for the info. I’ll order me a few extra things. I probably have plenty of washers I can use as well.

I have been following this thread for a few weeks and I can tell you all my experience up to this point. I ordered the Stage 2 Nitro suspension kit back on July 9th. At that point they were out of stock period and I ordered it on back order because folks here had high regards. Well a few weeks later it was in stocks I hit the chat feature and basically due to COVID and shipping from Australia there's a delay, and I imagine that everything comes on an actual container ship due to all the weight associated with shipping their products. Plus I purchased the constant load front and back because I have a bumper and winch I am putting on and I am planning a tent and all that in the back, plus I haul rocks and what not for my property. I am a little freaked out with the crazy rear difference I have seen on some of the pics here but now I know I can remove a leaf that seems ok. Well, I was told August 5th for shipping and I kid you not while writing this I got another response saying they're waiting on strut tops now so August 10th. I am a little frustrated but I agree with some of the other folks on this thread that most shops have been bled dry and I assume people are just hoping to the next in stock place. COVID has basically F'd the world up.

I went with this company after doing tons of research and basically at the price point it was worth a try. They seem to have a big following down under and did work with the military etc. I had no idea about the 60 years thing so that comforts me further. I was worried about lack of Tacoma reviews but I also like to give people a chance etc. etc. I cannot complain about customer service up to this point, the chat feature has been super super responsive and honestly there's not much I can do at this point but wait or ask for a refund but every other place is out of stock too so it doesn't really matter. I am happy that those that have this or have had this kit have been impressed and now I am just sad because I'm waiting LOL

I'm not new to wrenching or tuning but I am still learning about all the different shims etc, so once I get mine rolling I will post pics etc. I need to work on my forum skills they're a little rusty so forgive me if I am doing this wrong lol I hope I can come back later and ask questions as needed too. I have 285 70/17 Wildpeaks on TRD Sport Wheels the stage 2 kit comes with a UCA so I'm assuming I will need a 1.25 spacer as well? I will post any updates as they come thanks y'all.

Nice to hear. Hopefully it'll ship out sooner than you think. I think mine only shipped since I chose the unbuilt set. Pre builts were out of tock. I'm going to build them on the truck or if needed there is a guy local that has a really nice spring compressor. I'll document mine as well. Planning on the ECGS bushing as well, since its only a little more to pull out that cv.
I also plan on recording myself driving a set course around here and recording it on my dash cam and use my phone to record my angle screen on the truck. Just to give a little comparison between stock and it.

You think I should do the clamshell bushing or CGS bushing while I tear it apart or wait and see if I have vibrations? I see people on here saying wait but I am gonna put spiel gussets and dump the sway bar too, so most likely now instead of later? My 09 only has 80k on it but it was a rust bucket and just had the Frame recall done.

thats a tough one to really say. I had a 2nd gen with 150k miles and didn’t notice an issue but might have gotten lucky. I’m thinking of it as more insurance than anything. The only extra thing I think I’ll be doing is popping the cv out then the bushing. I have the tool lined up to use. It seems more than most replace it before there is an issue. Sounds like it might be easier for you to do it at the same time.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Everybody's experience is different but with my second gen that had 60,000 mi on it I installed the TRD pro lift kit and immediately had vibrations from the needle bearing. I would recommend putting it in.

I know this isn't quite an apples to apples comparison, but I've got my kit installed on my frontier. I'm super impressed. Took some bumps that made me and my dad pucker up because of how they looked and it did so much better than I thought it would. Firmer than stock but not harsh at all.

You know, you would think I would have done that. But I didn't :anonymous: I do have a picture showing the coilover and then the rear suspension though. The foam cell pros are beefy stuff.

Did you ever end up lowering yours some or are you still at 3.5 in high the front?

@Fletcher37, any update on your fronts?

I think I’m closer to an 1.5 up front. Although the shop told me I’m at 3” even.

@Devir7 Nope. Sent two emails after they said parts were in and got no response. I've been working long days. Haven't had time to deal with it by phone or chat BS. Not happy with the situation. I ordered from Ironman because they're in Portland metro area but that doesn't really help me if they ignore me. I ordered an awning and some other items from them in past. I'm done buying from them.

I ordered Elkas for the front. Need to call Elka to finalize coilover assembly.

That’s pretty good. I plan on having it about 2” higher, since I won’t have tires or an UCA for a while. I’ll try and keep about the same rake if I can too.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you’ll have better luck with the Elka. Probably shouldn’t ask, since you had nothing but shoddy customer service from the IMs but I’ll be curious to hear how they compare. Good luck on the new set up.

    7”+ 1 3/8” = 8 3/8” for spring seat height

this should be closer to stock height

I’ll add my numbers shortly. But I’m at a loss. Comparing you guys to mine. Numbers are all over the board. I have no clue how much above stock I truly am. Passenger rear was 23.5” passenger front was 21.75. Full tank with sliders and roughly 150lbs accessories.
I have performance front and rear.

That might be the every truck is different. I’ll measure mine before and after. I’ve got the oem hard tonneau cover and some eBay steps. Maybe 60 lbs total.

Just a heads up. Ordered my Elkas on 05/16. They just showed up today. They look great and I’m sure they ride well, but their lead times are pretty long. Good luck and sorry to hear about your experience with Ironman.
